I did Sam's taster class a couple of weeks ago and think it was fantastic: a little haven of calm in my busy life! My 10 month old loved it, with all her senses being tingled...

I think little ones will get a lot out of the classes as they grow bolder and explore a bit more every week. Definitely worth checking out!

Good day all of u... what is a treasure basket? A basket full of every day items made of natural material to allow babies to explore and make new discoveries. ..

What is hueristic play? A class lovingly and carefully put together for toddlers to make new discoveries through independent exploration with minimal guidance.

These two classes are unique in each and every way supporting baby's brain development by providing materials to allow exploration with a holistic approach in a naturally prepared open ended play session both followed by music session. It truly is a remarkable class that links to very much of maria montessori's philosophy. These are the key classes where children should enter especially before montessori schools.

Classes are on a Termly basis so if you want to see what the fuss is about please do contact me today!

Explorers who Play, & Music @ 915 (hueristic play )

Explore play and music @ 1100 (treasure baskets )

Each and every Wednesday term time only

I look forward to hearing from you!

Focus. Engage . Concentrate. ...naturally xx

Happy exploring!

Hello EDF readers!

I trust you have all had a lovely half term with such amazing weather how could you not? Now the days are getting colder and little ones as much as they love running around, they do need mental stimulation - somewhere safe, secure, in a little lap of luxury where all their needs are met in a class dedicated purely for your little treasures brain development and overall development whilst you the carer and parent, can actually relax, and enjoy watching your little ones play evolve.

Hueristic play is for the active ones! the ones who want to know what is it and what can i do with it? a discovery session to allow schemas unfold and play naturally. (12-18m) @ 09.25

Treasure baskets is for the sitters - the ones who just want to know what is it? through sensorial exploration, minds are awakened with stimulating natural every day objects.(6-12m) @ 11.00

both classes are held each and every Wednesday at St Barnabas Hall in Dulwich Village and to ensure that each parent and child experience and understand the wonders of heuristic play, the classes are merely ?8 a class payable by termly bookings.

Other options are available. so please do let me know if you are interested in attending this wedneseday.

only 5 places available out of 10 in Heuristic play and 7 in treasure baskets so please email me at [email protected] to reserve your TASTER TODAY!!!

    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
    • I don't know how spoillable food can be used as evidence in whatever imaginary CSI scenario you are imagining.  And yes, three times. One purchase was me, others were my partner. We don't check in with each other before buying meat. Twice we wrote it off as incidental. But now at three times it seems like a trend.   So the shop will be hearing from me. Though they won't ever see me again that's for sure.  I'd be happy to field any other questions you may have Sue. Your opinion really matters to me.
    • If you thought they were off, would it not have been a good idea to have kept them rather than throwing them away, as evidence for Environmental Health or whoever? Or indeed the shop? And do you mean this is the third time you have bought chicken from the same shop which has been off? Have you told the shop? Why did you buy it again if you have twice previously had chicken from there which was off? Have I misunderstood?
    • I found this post after we just had to throw away £14 of chicken thighs from Dugard in HH, and probably for the 3rd time. They were roasted thoroughly within an hour of purchase. But they came out of the oven smelling very woofy.  We couldn't take a single bite, they were clearly off. Pizza for dinner it is then. Very disappointing.
