If you didn't try yin yoga before is a very calming method of yoga in which you hold stretches for a long time. It will calm your mind and will improve your flexibility. Yin yoga works on connective tissue, fascia and joints.

Yin Yoga practices & techniques are based on traditional Tantric and Taoist philosophies.

The Yin Yoga will manifest a deep self-knowledge of our bodies, approaching all the movements and their internal responses from a place of intention, observation and wisdom. Each Yin routine will create a more insightful and introspective journey of our asana practice, building towards meditative disciplines. We will cultivate and integrate aspects of our physical, astral and causal bodies into the present moment.

The intention of these essential practices will be to develop an awareness of a student?s internal Chi and to develop the appropriate sensitivity in order to guide this energy into the spine.

Yin Yoga is the perfect complement to more dynamic practises such as the rocket, Ashtanga and Vinyasa based classes.

Above the ages of 25-35 depending upon the individual we should all be introducing a more Yin style practice and approach to our daily yoga practice.

As we age the body becomes dryer and more brittle ... we dry out

:)

so the softness and nurturing aspect of the yin style of yoga helps us to heal, slow down and soften and reminds us to go deep within.

The more dynamic styles of asana practice can all too often leave the practitioner stuck on the external gymnastics as you like of the postures.

With Yin we travel deep within ?.

We soften, we let go and we listen?

Workshop Suitable for all levels

    • Thanks to all for the advice, very glad to have this community for these enquiries. Here is how it got resolved in case its useful for anyone in the future: I had ordered some garden waste bags, and when the Veolia person came around I just asked them, and they were more than happy to take it no questions asked. 🙂
    • I keep seeing a thread 'missing cat', but you've been found.  Not sure if all would consider that a good thing.  Not a lot new happening ....  When you back in Blighty?
    • In March Oli and his team did an excellent job of the following work at a property I manage.  1. Completely removing existing broken front path. Covering and securing the void (coal shute) beneath using concrete lintels, waterproof membrane and concrete. Laying a compacted sub-base and new clay pavers. 2. Removing broken fence. Securely installing 6 fence posts and 5 fence panels across the end of the back garden. Base of posts wrapped in plastic  sheath and set in post mix. 3. Removing broken render from terrace steps and cleaning then re-rendering steps where needed and repairing other parts.  4. Jet washing rear patio. I would like to thoroughly recommend him to you for a job done very well at a fair price.
