You could approach Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers (SDCAS) [www.sdcas.org.uk], a super local charity with dedicated staff and volunteers. Clients often need help when they are starting out in a new home.

The main office is staffed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and is based at the Copleston Centre.

I understand that homeless on The street get thorough sleeping bags / duvets very quickly as you cen imaginine. At this time of year year. There must be a Great Demand for them. There must be an organisation that is Geared up to getting them to those in need. BTW charity shops will not take them.
