  1. Long time cyclist and driver here, (but I cycle much more than drive). Sadly I'm not sure we're ever going to get over this. The pro- and anti- camps are so polarised that compromise and acceptance seems impossible; it feels like someone has to be the winner. I had a break in Berlin recently and the attitude seems so different. There were loads and loads of cyclists (most non-electric as far as I could tell) but everyone adhered to the rules. Motorists and cyclists always stopped at red lights. Pedestrians only crossed at crossings and only when the green man light was lit. There were cycle lanes, sometimes borrowed from the road, sometimes from the pavements but always used. What's needed is a cultural shift in mindset.
  2. It could be worth contacting the Local History Group within the Dulwich Society - they have a number of people that have undertaken research into area and may be able to assist. Recent local history enquiries (2) (dulwichsociety.com)
  3. How very East Dulwich ! Was there an after party after party ?
  4. The mobile app is London-wide. As a regular cycle commuter I use it to report issues I encounter and they're normally dealt with fairly quickly.
  5. Yes it is, the collection "cost" is in the price of the bags. They used to be free...
  6. Ornamental Grasses. Very tough. Grow to about a metre high. Quite vigorous, can't remember the exact species. Three plants but you could make a few more by splitting. Pick up from near Charter East. PM me if interested.

    Sorted!

£7.50 in Argos for a small one.
  8. Screwfix Bob - mentioned a page or so back.
  9. Alec - you may know this already but there was a Jaguar SUV stolen from Trossachs a couple of weeks back - I suspect the same gang and MO.
  10. It's possible that it's just facing in the wrong direction and that it simply needs to be turned around by 180 degrees. Mistake or joke perhaps by whoever was last attaching signs to the same post..
  11. Recycled for free with your brown bin if this Southwark web page is correct. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/christmas-tips-reduce-reuse-and-recycle
