  1. Hi all. About to move away from the area and would very much like to give a shout out to the best tradespeople that I have discovered in my time here. This is a list of people who have all gone the extra mile, been super reliable and friendly and (of course) done fantastic high quality work. Like most people, I've had a few hit and miss experiences along the way, so I hope a list like this will be helpful:) Household: Niko - plumber 07818 607583 007 Handymen (Vic) 07885 537463 Nick Minns - handyman 07866 267581 Joe Runcak - carpenter 07960 427220 Chris Hales - window cleaner 07947 127789 Glen - fridge repairs 07723 019161 Marcus - tiler 07817 050159 Elly Allen - curtains and blinds 07931 151685 MW Flooring 020 8778 4404 Garden: Saied (Dulwich Eco Gardening) 07538 760671 Hamish Lodge - tree surgeon 07971 055438 Laura - gardener 07714 778024 Oskar - fencing & landscaping 07545 372421 Sylvain Jullien - landscaping 07545 233110 Misc: Garage: Turners, Barry Road 020 8693 1175 Catsitter: Lisa Marks 07956 255860 The Neighbourhood Vet 020 8299 2388 Letting agents: Daisylets 020 8299 9035 Removals: Burke and Wills 020 8947 9001 Probably forgotten one or two so may edit! All the best Helen
  2. Thanks - someone has since told me the cat is chipped and has an owner nearby.
  3. Posting here because I expect more people will see it.... /forum/read.php?31,2042160
  4. Chatty, friendly but rather thin black cat seen regularly at the top of Overhill Rd in recent weeks - anyone seen him/her and have any idea if he or she might be lost?
  5. Can anyone recommend somewhere in the area I can take a Tag Heuer watch for a new battery please.
  6. Looking for advice or recommendations - considering using a local agent such as Daisy Lets or alternatively, doing it privately using an online service such as Open Rent. Any advice or recent experience appreciated. Hx
  7. This makes no sense. Either you?re ignorant or being deliberately perverse. I?ve never been to Franco Manca (for example) but students and lower income people seem to swear by it because they say it?s great quality at a great price. Equally, ?well off foodies? seem to love it too. I say hats off to the likes of FM for making themselves attractive to everyone regardless of income. You seem to be confusing trendy with pricey, you need to bring yourself up to date. 8. Still trying to understand why a new pizza place would attract ?wealthy foodies and no one else? but you?ve conveniently skipped that point. 10. Closed permanently according to their FB page. Such a shame. Seems the location didn?t work out for them.

  13. Doubt you'll have much luck as it's there in black & white. Others may think differently, or know more about Southwark.
