Hi all. About to move away from the area and would very much like to give a shout out to the best tradespeople that I have discovered in my time here. This is a list of people who have all gone the extra mile, been super reliable and friendly and (of course) done fantastic high quality work. This makes no sense. Either you?re ignorant or being deliberately perverse. I?ve never been to Franco Manca (for example) but students and lower income people seem to swear by it because they say it?s great quality at a great price. Equally, ?well off foodies? seem to love it too. I say hats off to the likes of FM for making themselves attractive to everyone regardless of income. You seem to be confusing trendy with pricey, you need to bring yourself up to date. Closed permanently according to their FB page. Such a shame. Seems the location didn?t work out for them.

Doubt you'll have much luck as it's there in black & white. Others may think differently, or know more about Southwark.

Come on chaps.... I posted because to me, this was in a different class of idiocy to overtaking on a busy road, into oncoming traffic etc - dangerous as that is, at least everyone knows it's a busy road and hopefully has a level of wariness accordingly. This car sped round a private road where presumably it was an unexpected and rare event - even adults would be taken unawares by it, let alone their kids & pets.

Did you have to mention that the BMWs were white? I'll get my coat.

I?m an Audi driver too..!

I take the steady approach when driving along Court Lane, but frequently find myself followed by someone who prefers racing between speed bumps, slamming brakes on, accelerating to the next one etc. Often I?m overtaken by people who just can?t bear to wait. This morning at 7am I witnessed a different approach! Clearly not happy with my steady pace, a black Audi swung left into Court Lane Gardens and sped round in order to come out in from of me the other end. Needless to say, I pulled up alongside the silly arse at the lights in DV - he pretended to be absorbed by something fascinating on his phone but on glancing sheepishly in my direction, was rewarded with a slow handclap. Seriously though, if you live on CLG and have kids, pets or both, it?s worth you knowing that this can happen. It was 7am, not the middle of the night, with plenty of folk about including a school trip setting off from DV. Maybe it?s a known thing already but I just wanted to flag it up. H

We painted our Victorian house pale grey which I personally love. If you'd like to have a look, send me a PM for the address and if you like it, I can tell you the colour :) In fact, if memory serves, when I was trying to decide, I saw another house in this colour locally, loved it and knocked on the door to ask!
