  1. Personally I think this is far more urgent than that - I can easily see a serious injury to a cyclist happening some time soon. Perhaps the mention of liability in such an event might change Southwark's view, especially since they are already aware of the problem. Motorists are also having to drive on the wrong side to avoid some of these holes, which is just exacerbating the situation. 2. I was going to report this until I saw that several others already have, and that Cllr Barber is onto it too. I'm amazed there have been no reports of injury to cyclists (yet)

  4. Agree about Joe, I'm always going on about him too, with good reason - he's fantastic :) http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1646322,1646322#msg-1646322 You'll need to source your own door though - I went to Select a Door in Penge on Joe's rec - very nice people and reasonable prices. Didn't know about the sourdough! P.O.U.S.theWonderCat Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Joe Runcak - http://jr-carpentry.co.uk/. 5. I hope the owner sees this too. Very sad. On behalf of pet owners everywhere, thank you for what you did.
  6. Sorry, yes - I just thought it may be worth a call if you already have DBS etc up to date from your other volunteering.
  7. Try Lisa tel:07956255860 [email protected] I?ve used her many times - lots of recs for her on the EDF.
  8. A second rec for Lisa - she's great. PSJ Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I can highly recommend Lisa Marks - lots of > recommendations via this forum. > > 07956255860 > > [email protected]
  9. I've had a few conversations about this recently with people who didn't realise that you can drive through central London CCharge free - Vauxhall Bridge/Victoria/Park Lane/Edgeware Road. Useful to know. Robert Poste's Child Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Thanks. 10. A quick google reveals it's almost opposite the Co op. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can you give me some clue where 53 is?! > > What end of Lordship Lane is it, what side, what > other restaurants or shops is it near? > > Thanks!
  11. I was passing yesterday with a friend and we decided to pop in for coffee (and cake, obvs) I had a really good espresso, friend's latte looked great, stonking slice of carrot cake. Lots of Greek goodies like honey & olive oil to buy separately. Lovely quiet atmosphere, friendly people. Felt the urge to post about it! :) Hope it does well. 106 Lordship Lane, almost opposite Tippler. http://www.weekender.co.uk/business/kanella-and-co/

Agree 100%. SMBS too. Co op are messing it up badly but there are others nearby really working to offer something good. Let's spend our money there.
  13. Laura is fantastic. She has done great things in my garden, from tidying to serious chopping back, to masses of planting, including bulbs for next Spring. Extremely reliable and knows her stuff too. Highly recommended.
  14. My point is that NV do sell this non prescription treatment, but because it was going to be a long term thing, they suggested I buy it elsewhere because I could get it in greater quantities much cheaper. > You didn?t say it was non prescription. 15. No - they told me what to look for, as it's a non prescription treatment used by humans too. Next? 16. Admin - I only speak from a personal perspective, in that I am aware of those 3 examples just in the past few weeks, which feels like enough to mention.....but I could have worded it differently :)
  17. I agree with this. It happens a lot on the EDF. Not long ago someone posted about how they?d ?heard? that a local building company ?may not? have done something correctly......pure anecdote with nothing to back it up but naming the company, who, unless they happened to read the post, had no opportunity to protect their reputation. A few weeks before, someone else named a local restaurant where they thought they had got food poisoning, but weren?t 100% sure! 18. On the specific point about NV charging for, or recommending, unnecessary treatment and meds, one of my cats had to be on a particular med long term, and they suggested I buy it online or at a pharmacy as it was significantly cheaper.

  20. Well I don't have kids but if I did, I would probably take the 'greater good' approach recommended by the professionals. Pretty much as I do with the cats in fact.
  21. Oh I see! Well of course, might need a reminder though! :) KidKruger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just did ask ! > (pretty please)
  22. I didn't say they are vaccinated yearly, or that anyone at NV had recommended it. I said I couldn't remember offhand when the jabs (and boosters) are done. So are you accusing the RSPCA of malpractice too? https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/cats/health/-/articleName/CAD_Cats_Vaccinations
  23. Hm, you've got me there! I have it done when it's due.....can't remember offhand when that is. I know it's included in my monthly fee though. > > Phlox Wrote: > You vaccinate your cats yearly?
  24. Yes they do, I joined up and think it's good value actually. I recently took 2 cats for a 6 month health check and was given another three months' flea & worm treatment - didn't have to pay for for the health check or the treatment. Think it costs ?12 per pet per month. It's a way to spread the expense of having pets - tbh I don't think NV benefit from it financially at all. Not associated with NV other than being a happy customer, extremely surprised to read this post.
