I highly recommend Lenny and his team. We have worked with Lenny in the past and again recently for some decorating and fitted wardrobes. The quality of workmanship was high and he was always very helpful, professional and above all honest. He moved his schedule around to suit the job I needed and I will definitely be using him again in the future.

If you look at the party wall act on the department for communities and local government website it contains the guidance on party wall works and sample letters for your Neighbours. You do not need a party wall surveyor for any party wall works but can draw up the agreement yourself. You have to give your Neighbours 2 months notice of any party wall works. A surveyor can add significant cost to your project and in effect surveys the party wall before, during and after building works. If you have a good relationship with / reasonable Neighbours, you can do the agreement by yourself for the cost of a printout. Having just gone through this I know it works. The council / building inspector will check you have a party wall agreement, not a survey.

Hi, I've posted a few reviews on here about Hamilton Walters - they are general builders and roofers. They repaired our kitchen roof as well as the rafters which were sagging and we had numerous broken tiles. They were pragmatic enough to reuse / keep the good material (battens and felt) to keep costs down. They repaired the broken guttering and replaced what was not reusable and were quick - it took 2 guys 2 days (it was a small roof). They even tested it with a hose to check for leaks - I have no complaints at all. Call Lenny on 07780 004007.

Hi All, If anyone is looking for a builder to do a loft conversion / major or minor renovations I can highly recommend Hamilton Walters. They have just completed a loft conversion and major renovation for me and I cannot be more pleased. Everyone who has seen the finished product has commented on the high quality of workmanship. I found them on the EDF where I saw nothing but positive reviews beforehand and they did not disappoint. Lenny and Jeff have been a great team and have given me good advice along the way within the building regulation rules which has resulted in something truly special with a wow factor, over and above the "bog standard" loft conversions you get with the usual suspects / other loft companies around the area - several of whom I spoke to and took references on / inspected previous work. Lenny and Jeff were hard working along with the rest of their team - on site early and working late/ weekends as required to get things done within the timeframe they committed to. In particular they have a can-do attitude and always came up with a solution to any obstacles we encountered along the way, even the building inspector was impressed with them. Want someone who is able to advise on appropriate building regs and can turn work around quickly (drawings within a week). Needed for simple knock through of a wall.

I understand the headteacher has recently left quite suddenly and they are recruiting a new headteacher to start September 2014 - does anyone have any insight? Current parents?
