And Bawdale

We are on Bawdale and internet has been out since 21st. Was due to be fixed by 4pm on 26th and then by 4pm on 29th (today) - got email at 3pm today pushing fix to 4pm on 3rd. Will be switching at first opportunity but as noted above no capacity with BT or Sky so trapped.

Steve and Nicola restored our Victorian terrace hall floor in August and did a wonderful job. We are so pleased with it. I booked them back in April purely on the basis of the reviews here and Steve's quotation. The floor was very tired, unstained pine and they restored (filling the many gaps with resin then sanding) and stained it. It now looks really smart without being out of whack with the rest of the house (which is not particularly smart!). They were really great to work with and left the house looking as if nobody had been there. Would definitely recommend them and if anything else crops up in our house that is in their line of work we will be giving them a call. Thank you!

Hi - our neighbour has asked us to sign a party wall agreement for a loft conversion (we're in a terrace). We are fairly relaxed about the work but feel we would like a surveyor to look over the plans and both properties before signing. Can anyone recommend a surveyor to do this? Does anyone know the cost (ball park)? We know the neighbour is responsible for the fee but we'd like to know what we're letting them in for... Thanks M.

Hi - we are looking for someone who can etch or sandblast (or whatever the correct technique is) a pattern onto a pane of glass to go above our kitchen door. Pane is probably about 8" x 24", the pattern about 5" square. Anyone know anyone who does this locally? Thanks.

Hi all - we have engaged a roofer to do some work on our roof (we're a small ED business occupying detached premises) and would like to find a roof surveyor to inspect the works on completion. Another recommendation for John following a boiler service a few weeks ago - he was punctual, friendly, efficient and charged a very reasonable rate. He also gave me some advice regarding our boiler without putting on an ounce of pressure to engage him to do the work. I already knew about the issues he pointed out and it was refreshing to have someone give me the facts without trying to alarm me into signing up on the spot. A very nice guy to deal with.
