  1. I run a small local Joinery in East Dulwich and I need a part-time experienced Joiner. The job may possibly suit an early retiree but I am interested in any skilled Joiner, speed being less important than finesse. Ability for occasional site/fitting work an advantage but not essential. Terms and hours to be negotiated. Please contact via email via website www.stephenguestjoinery.co.uk I would prefer email to telephone inquiries at this stage. Thank you.
  2. Hello. I am a local Joiner. I can provide a quote for the work if you wish. As for 'reasonably priced' I am neither cheap nor expensive but will charge in labour and materials what it costs me to produce high quality traditional joinery. If you are interested please do contact me via my website at stephenguestjoinery.co.uk
  3. Hello. It sounds like the nosing on the treads has been broken off. It is possible to repair and should be fairly easy for a competent carpenter or any joiner. I am happy to have a look at the stairs and provide an estimate. If you wish to view pictures please see website stephenguestjoinery.co.uk and do contact me (details on site) if you wish me to look at the work.
  4. Hello Jason. As a guide, Victorian sliding sash windows are generally too thin to house double glazed units. To solve this you can either rebate the new sashes to fit around the original beads, pay a premium for specialist slimlite double glazing (used for listed properties) or best option fit entirely new timber window/sliding box sash window. I am a local Joiner and I'm happy to have a look at the work. I operate a small specialist joinery and as such my work is of high quality but not as cheap as a larger more general firm. If you are interested please see my website. stephen guestjoinery.co.uk
