Car windows smashed on Oglander Road
Vanessa3 replied to twinhunters's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yep, our car also had a window smashed last Friday night- ours was parked on the corner of Felbrigg and Bawdale road.... rather surprisingly, they didn?t even bother to steal the IPod or small change from the console. -
To the dog walker in Ruskin Park this morning, whose dog bit a runner as she ran past.... just to let you know I?m okay. You were part of a group of dog walkers around 10am this morning, and none of you bothered to ask if I was okay, or even utter an apology. When I challenged you angrily that your dog bit me, at first you denied it, then realising that you couldn?t deny what had happened, you has the tenacity to say it was my fault for running past..... Please keep your dog on a shorter leash if it?s inclined to lunge and bite People as they pass. I?m glad I wasn?t running with my children this morning, or it may have been far worse. As I now know what you and your grumpy dog look like, I?ll know to avoid you and run through the flower beds, but other park users may not.

Another plumber recommendation for Lee Garvey. Really nice guy, he fixed the broken tap & price was reasonable.

Still Missing - Lost Black cat - Shawbury Road
Vanessa3 replied to Webster's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
Hi Webster, We're based on the Bawdale/Hansler/Felbrigg corner and noticed another missing cat poster yesterday (Cheetah). Our cat Banjo is really poorly at the moment and has been for a week now. Perhaps several of the cats in our area have a virus? I'm keeping an eye out and have mentioned to a few neighbours to check their gardens- good luck finding Pippy. -
Hello, I would recommend Paul from Paw on the Button. (Check also previous EDF recommendations) He ordered all the parts, came to my house in ED and repaired a smashed lap top screen and a cracked iPad. He did a Brilliant job and was cheaper that several repair centres I received quotes from.

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
Vanessa3 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James, Several years ago I raised a question about the safety of the Whateley Road / Fellbrig Road junction. I am one of the many parents who walk children to Heber Road & find crossing this junction really dangerous. The traffic heading down Whateley road rarely stick to the 20mph limit. Since the opening of the new Harris Academy on the corner of Whateley Road & Lordship Lane, traffic has increased considerably. If the junction is deemed 'safe' due to the lack of accidents, could this junction be considered for a 'lollipop' person during the school run? Cheers, Vanessa -
After fixing a blocked saniflow last week, Rick was back to replace a broken shower valve this week. Would recommend if you're looking for a local plumber.

Cheers for the plumber recommendations EDF- Rick & Dean turned up when they said they would, fixed all plumbing issues quickly and cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely recommend.

Another vote for EJ Carpets in Forest Hill- quoted cheaper than Lordship Lane Carpets - gave great advice, had a really extensive product offering, great workmanship & did the job on time.

Recommendation wanted for new back doors
Vanessa3 replied to sunshineSJ's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Can recommend Paul from Scenic Double Glazing - replaced all our windows & French doors into garden - brilliant job & done on time. They're based in West Wickham but around Dulwich most days. Welcome to check out ours if you want to see the quality. If you do a search, you'll find plenty of people on the EDF willing to vouch for their work. Vanessa
