The simple fact is, that getting a job as a security guard does not place you above the law, and you have no right to hand out punches and kicks to people.
Quite right. Reading that reminded me of some of the doormen I used to see in Liverpool. There are good laws in place now, but in those days the doormen were nasty thugs, and I saw them absolutely mangle a couple of lads just because they were a bit too drunk.
Still not sure you can say it's the pub's responsibility. If they are outside for a smoke and shouting and screaming, then yes, but if they leave the pub and get in to a fight at the bus stop, I'm not sure the pub have anything to do with that.
Djibril Cisse going to Sunderland for a year. Bloody good luck to him I say. He had such a cr@p time for us, breaking both his legs, I really hope he does well!
Tony, I think you mean The Griffin (so named after the old Midland Bank logo). Didn't know Sainsbury's owned it, it was Midlands, and is now Kings, but could have been otherwise in between.
On more than one occasion I have seen a crying child in a shop, and really not known what to do for fear of just that kind of thing happenin. Sad bloody world we live in!
You do make good arguements Jamma, but frankly you often come across a bit agressive, and that puts people aff of agreeing with you. I'm not saying everyone should be nicey nicey, but you seem to enjoy goading people a bit.
It is romantic Moos, I stand there in my smoking jacket, saying "loud shouting Sydenham chavs, loud shouting Sydenham chavs. Wherefore art though loud shouting Sydenham chavs?" And they respond every single night!!! Bless them.
