  1. I had a valiant and it was a storage boiler. There is a switch system by the boiler the engineer referred to it as a 2 port. It needed replacing. It switches between hot water, heating or both. Mine was jammed. Good luck
  2. Hi so you still have this please
  3. I remember seeing something a few years ago on TV about a fox that was actually biting through people's shopping / takeaway food bags. It was situated in an alleyway. Not in London. Very interesting in how the urban foxes brain development has been affected by their surroundings. Not an exact quote from Darwin. It's the adaptable that survive / not the strongest or the most intelligent. I would be worried if a fox came close me. Because they might be after my fur babies and they carry a lot of nasties. Although they look beautiful from a distance or on a 🎄 card.
  4. Luckily I don't really any regular reason to park at Dawson Heights. It must be very difficult for the residents I do feel for them. Thank you for them. I just presumed that Southwark owned the estate and would be responsible for parking enforcement there.
  5. We git a ticket when we tried to park there to watch the fireworks. Anyways we didn't even get a space and so we didn't actually park. But we got a penalty notice. We just paid up. And we won't be taking our car their ever again. You probably needed a Southwark council visitors permit. I imagine it would have needed to be booked online B4 or by the end of the day that you parked. Beat thing to do is contact Southwark Council Estate parking to clarify the situation. I hope your freebie was worth the value of your penalty.
  6. Thank you I was very shaken and upset. I couldn't understand what or why it happened. Until I told my friend about it. I was probably very lucky that I had popped my phone in my pocket as I got out of the car. It was near the Local Sainsbury's store by crystal palace rd. I didn't report it. But maybe I should have. It happened so quickly my hubby didn't see a thing / he was sitting in the car.
  7. I was nearly knocked over by a cyclist wearing dark clothing with no lights which "accidentally" nearly rode into me in the dark on a very wide, empty, pavement! It was really scary. When I told my friend she asked me if I had my phone in my hand. I had only just put the phone back in my pocket.
  8. I totally agree it just seems that it a thing nowadays. It must be due to how fireworks are sold.
  9. Ohh dear. Fireworks can be great fun. Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games. Watching them was more enjoyable than watching TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs). It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable. And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people. It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it. But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
  10. Some of them might be due to Diwali celebrations.
  11. Well this will help tomorrow morning for trying to get work from this end of Underhill Road. I presume the bus stop will be closed again. As I mentioned before this is to test the lead levels in Thames water. By the way after googling I noticed England isn't even in the top 10 countries for water quality. I wonder are we in the top ten for cost to individual 🏠 🏡? Does anyone know?
  12. Or some peeps just can not drive LOL the big posh motors they own.
