  1. Hello everyone! Just to let you know that my cat had 5 kittens - unfortunately 2 were dead at birth but 3 are alive and well! I am not entirely sure what sex they are - they all look the same so either 3 boys or girls!! Hopefully it will become clearer in next few weeks... One is pale ginger and the other 2 are mottled dark brown. All look like they will be quite fluffy. I will post pictures once they've opened their eyes and look a bit prettier! If anyone is interested (I have had a few emails) I will be selling them for ?50 each - this is to cover vet bills for the mother. Welcome to come and visit in about 3 weeks when their immune systems are stronger.
  2. Thanks for everyone's comments but am sure we will cope! And sillywoman - please dont worry - I know how keen you and your daughter were to look after her... but can understand hubby's point of view as well!! Your daughter is of course welcome to come and see her whenever she wants (and if she is allowed a kitten when she finally drops, all the better!).
  3. Fairly well known cos of risk of infection/toxoplasmosis - would prefer not to take the risk. Anyhow, unfortunately we still haven't found her a home so will continue to look after her here.
  4. Hello everyone. Not sure if this is the correct forum but pets are family so calling all cat lovers!! My beautiful moggy is pregnant and about to have kittens. I am also pregnant and understand it is not advisable to be involved in weaning kittens in my 'condition'!! I love my cat very much and was wondering if anyone would like to look after her and the kittens for a couple of months? I would pay for their food and that kind person would be offered their choice of the litter!! Our cat is lovely natured and extremely affectionate - I don't want to give her to a charity where she won't receive the love she needs. She is fully litter trained and no trouble at all. Nice kind cat loving persons to reply only!!
  5. Thanks everyone! Good to see such a lot of responses. As per your advice, I have signed us up for a 2 day ED NCT course in January (I think 12 and 19th - if anyone else is on this course would be nice to meet up in advance?) ED certainly seems like the place for (expectant) mums...!!!
  6. Hello - I am new to the area and expecting my first child in February 2010. My partner and I are completely in the dark as to what's on offer for new parents to be but would very much like to get to involved in as many things as possible - if only as a way to get to know couples going through the same "experience"!! My partner works and so evenings most suitable.
