  1. So sad to see you go - a great addition and both we and our kids loved the food, atmosphere and ice cream! Best of luck in your future endeavours and wishing you well soon.
  2. Excited about this new addition - has anybody found a website or online menu for it? Or even a phone number?!
  3. Hi we had all of our wooden sash windows replaced last summer by Bespoke Windows and we are really pleased with the result. I would really recommend them - not a single issue and everything measured perfectly and a great team to work with. They are not the cheapest but given their experience in this area and the properties within it they pay attention to every detail. We had their conservation range and they are as close to the original as could be and don?t let in the drafts that our original windows did!
  4. This is wonderful news - so pleased. We love the restaurant and have had many enjoyable key conversations with your Dad. Best of luck with the work
  5. I'm co-organising our school Christmas fair and we are looking for people who might want to hire a table to sell their wares. The fair is 2pm-5pm on Saturday 8th December at Heber School SE22. Message me if you're interested.

  7. I was back there this morning and once again couldn?t park and so ended up in Choumert Road car park again paying for the privilege. I queued for about 20 minutes and was then helped by our former postman who was super helpful, very apologetic about the situation and friendly (his colleagues could learn a lot from him). Phew! Nevertheless the situation prompted me to call Royal Mail and complain about the queues, costs and general inconvenience. I would urge others to do the same...unless we all register our frustration they will not do anything about it. tel://03457 740 740
  8. Currently standing in an extraordinarily long queue outside the Peckham sorting office. Whoever thought this was an acceptable thing to do was seriously misguided. A very large number of people waiting in excess of an hour to collect parcels - many of which were Home when the attempted delivery took place - postmen didn?t even knock! Postmen are fed up with it as are the public - I?ve alrwady spent over ?2 on parking having spent 15 minutes driving around to find a pay parking space.... I?m likely to have to top it up. I?ve no idea what elderly residents in East Dulwich are going to do and am dreading the dark, cold, wet winters as I can?t see this improving - even the postmen and staff are saying it?s a complete joke and totally unfair on all.... Something needs to change.... mind you Royal Mail have sold Silvester Road for an apparent ?7 million so I doubt they give two hoots...
  9. So sad to hear this and really cannot fathom why people would see this as an appropriate time to make jokes. Thank goodness nobody was hurt but I so feel for the owner and staff for whom this is a livelihood as it will be a journey and take time to get it back to where is was. I for one will also miss their delicious food in the meantime. Hoping that the recovery is straightforward and not too stressful for them all
  10. I used Dave From McHow off the back of NUMEROUS positive comments on this thread. I will be using him whenever I need a super friendly, trust worthy, honest, punctual, very skilled plumber. And will recommend him to anyone who needs the same. After my electrics tripped and ultimately killed my boiler, I went looking for a recommended plumber (via the ED forum). I found Dave and he was round as soon as he could... good plumbers are not available at the drop of a hat. He was worth the wait, we explored repairing the boiler, which I decided against given I have already thrown ?100?s at (at regular frequencies). And was able to advise which boiler I should get for a house which may expand ( because of a loft conversion). Something not all plumbers asked . He fitted the boiler in a day, flushed the system 2 days later... again something others didn?t mention/recommend. He was a pleasure to have on-site and I cannot recommend him highly enough!
  11. Lloyd?s on North Cross road do readings for you
  12. I can see numerous requests for good, reliable cleaners and I can?t recommend my cleaner highly enough. Silver Spoon is a locally run small cleaning company, established for over 25 years and Malgosia and her team are excellent. I have had the same cleaner for over 12 years and she is incredibly efficient, hard working, reliable and trustworthy. Constant Malgosia on ‭07773 395964‬ or [email protected] I am very happy to act as a reference.

  14. I would advise against Twins and Brother garage which is operating from Bawdale Road (previously on Whateley Road). They leave the cars they are working on out on the street, have a reputation for ripping customers off, are very unpleasant, can often be found drinking alcohol on the job in the middle of the day and use Bawdale Road and other local streets as both a garage and a car park. I would recommend using one of the other many garages in the area. I would highly recommend Turners who do a great job and are genuine and straightforward.
  15. Oh no that is such a shame - such great pasta and our daughters loved seeing it made.
