Sure does. Let's throw another hypothetical scenario. You're parking your car in a Pay and Display, and someone's forgotten to take the change out of the meter. There's nobody around, and you quickly realise that the sum of the change will get you free parking. Congratulations, You've just profited off someone's misfortune, sugar-coat it all you like.
  3. >Haven't bro. I would probably be regarded as extremely lower class by most of these people, public school taught, work at 15 onward, but I'm sure as shit not going to let anyone look down on me. Everyone preaches equality, yet how often does it ever get set into motion? I'm seeing here that most of the users have a very narrow minded stereotyping view on subjects, and reasoning won't help. Hell, seen as we're quoting people, I chose to quote Hugh Laurie, playing House. "If religious people could be reasoned with, there would be no religious people" Same applies here. If you could reason, we'd have none of this caste system effect. However there are some decent, contributing posters that have some interesting things to talk about though, it's just sifting through the filler posts to find them. You seem pretty straight kid, just because you're 15 don't let these pretentious assholes tell you that you can't stick to your morals. If you believe something and you have a structured reason as to why, being called scum should only serve to strengthen your case. /rant. +added to Ctrl+C
  4. Hello OP. It's possible that you could be suffering slight attention span disorders, these are quite common and often enduced by stress. My advice is to consult the problem directly, tackle it with the fist and the fury of the North Star, and then you'll find your focus slowly returning. sources: my ass.
  5. Ahhh. I see how it works here. Regardless of content, right? No worries. You guys will tire of deleting my posts before I tire of making new ones to replace them. Next time I'll remember to Ctrl+C.
  6. I called a member a pretentious faggot after he/she began flaming based on assumptions. I was right about the pretentious part, but I apologise if the word offended anyone. I suppose you could just wordfilter that out and this problem would never occur again. HOWEVER. After I'd dealt with that insipid member, I continued to go on with the topic of the thread, in specific saying that if you found a small amount of currency (a pound, 50p I forget what) it would still constitute as stealing, however your conscious would register it as yourself just coming into a bit of "Luck". I then went on to pose the question: When does "Luck" become "Greed"? In which I meant how much do you have to find before you consider turning it in? Personally I see no issue with taking a finders fee from a wallet, (In the position of victim I'd be happy to have my wallet back, regardless of the loss of cash) or taking money from an ATM that the user has been too stupid to take for themselves. (In the same position, I'd curse myself for being such a damn idiot, and then get on with life) [sarcasm]Brendon, I apologise if my grammar and spelling has made your visit to this thread unpleasant. Please, PM me any wikipedia or online dictionary articles you think would aid me in my eternal quest for perfect literacy.[/sarcasm]

The only thing I'd add to it is PROTIP: Get fresh fish. And I'm not talking 3 day old fish that's been sat on a fishmarket, I'm talking so fresh that you can still taste the saltwater. Zushi isn't as complicated as you'd think, the SUPER SECRET METHOD is to ensure that you don't overcook the rice, that can be the dealbreaker between a dish that is OM NOM NOM to a dish that is MEH. Get some nice rice wine vinegar and you're pretty much set to go. Zushi is better than Sashimi IMO, because you can cook whatever fish you're using without offending the Japanese Gods. If you're dead set on eating raw and you're all about Sashimi, I'd say go Hotate-gai, it's like eating fishy steak.
  8. Woah now, where's that lovely post I made earlier? If posts are going to be deleted, can I at least be informed?
  9. Hmmm. Let's throw a different spin on this, shall we? Pesticides were developed due to the high amount of waste that farmers found themselves with, it makes perfect common sense to spray your field if you're going to see +40% boost to the turnover of your crop. Organic meat on the other hand is a real issue for the proprietor, as it increases the time between birth > slaughter. For the purpose of this short article, let's look at chickens. Now, from watching Teevee we all know that indoor chicken are bad, and Jamie Oliver doesn't approve, however did you take the time to research the pros to this type of breeding? The speed at which these birds grow are intense, which provides fantastic protection against epidemics, the chicken would be culled way before the infection had chance to spread, mutate, or indeed gain hold of the host. The antibiotics that are fed to the bird in it's food serve to eradicate such issues as salmonella and tapeworm, which are the key problems when rearing this animal. Besides, the chicken is indoors, so it's highly unlikely they would contract illness anyway, but nevertheless the safeguard is active. Organic on the other hand? It's spending all it's time digging around outside, and it's taking far longer for the bird to get to it's slaughter weight, without any antibiotics or inoculations. During this time, the bird has more than enough time to get infected with parasites, and guess what? There's nothing you can do about it. So in conclusion, if you're eating meat, buy free range. At least you have the knowledge that your chicken had a few handy chemicals added to it to protect you, while it was frolicking outside. Veg? Eat regular sprayed veg and help your farmers keep in business.
  10. So many to reply to! Where do I start?! I'll reply to multiple people in this one post. Firstly, Fuck you pretentious faggot #1. I have a different opinion to you, and you don't like it. Boo-hoo, grow the hell up. If someone saw me pick up a wallet and begin looking through it, chances are they'd do nothing, because that's the moral fibre of the general public. You're quick to throw your point of view in when hid behind a monitor, but you'd be less likely to act on it IRL. Let me put it this way. Say you're walking down the street and see a nice shiny pound lying there on the floor. You'd pick it up and say "Ooh, a shiny pound, how lucky am I?" despite the fact that pound doesn't belong to you, and using your own definition; you're stealing. Now you're probably going to assume the position of "Yes, but a pound is completely different to ?100" but the simple fact is it isn't. In order for you to cling precariously to those morals, you'd have to turn in that pound, wouldn't you? If I see money hanging out of an ATM, I'm going to take it because someone else will if I don't. If I see a wallet, I'll take the cash as a finders fee, and hand in the empty wallet. If I see cash on the ground, it's mine. You may not approve of my morals, but at least I'm honest about them, and don't attempt to pass myself off as a self righteous bastard. So the question is: When does "Luck" become "Greed"?

Having a good set of moral principals or a > good nature doesn't make a person weak. We can take it to extremes if you'd like, but the point I was trying to make was that if you blatently ignore loud beeping after taking your card back, you deserve to have your money taken. I wouldn't steal someone's birthday cards, or pillage a dying person, but if I found a wallet in the street, I'd take the cash.
  12. Guize, guize, guize. Don't be all takeaway couch potatoes, make it yourselves! Trust me, curries are not that hard to make, they just seem like they are because they call for mysterious spices to be used in their creation. Fact is, if you get yourself down to a decent supermarket or a good Asian market you can pick these magical plants up at a pretty decent price. Supermarkets will always throw lame dried stuff at you, and it takes more to "cook the flavour" out of, where as your market will often have the plant fresh. Once you've stocked up on supplies, they will usually last a few months, and any pastes/pulses you make make can be jarred to last till God decends on the Earth to smash it open with his right hand.
  13. SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Mankind has achieved far more through co-operation > and care than greed ORLY? We got into space/landed on the moon due to intense rivalries between superpowers. Neither of them collaborated on projects, and yet low and behold! Look where we are. The Nazi's needed oil resources to push into Europe. They claimed a few neighbouring countries, allowing 1years supply to become at least 10. I suppose your argument there would be "they co-operated to achieve that though" In which case I feel obliged to point out that it was greed that fueled said co-operation. Andystar Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- >Because its wrong. Would you like to be exploited?? I thought not.. >Can I ask, if you lose your phone & I find it, does it give me the right to call my buddies up in Australia on your phone, >after all "finders keepers" Of course it does. That is if you can pull it off before my common sense cancelles the phone. Besides, companies use their common sense to see that you've never made calls to these numbers before, and with the claim of a lost phone, it's HIGHLY doubtful you'd be charged for the calls, especially if you act reasonably and explain yourself coherently. Face facts, we're exploited nearly every day [whether we know it or not], and you'll find that "Good Nature" is often the first thing to be exploited.

SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > a first time poster who calls people "retarted" Nope, I can spell. > welcome btw Thanks, and hello to yourself. > As you and the 15 year old (same person? > mates?) Nope. Never had contact with the guy, he's just right. >"finders keepers" etc, here is another one It's better to give than receive. You seem to be missing the point entirely. If someone has gone out of their way to ignore the protocols set in place to avoid such stupidity from occurring, they don't deserve the cash back. Quite simply, you'd have thought that natural selection would have culled them by now, but sadly life is lacking in her ways these days. So let's pose a return hypothesis. If greed is a powerful human emotion, and for centuries we've profited off the misfortunes of others, why should it change now?
  15. On reading this topic, I have to admit I'm siding with the 15yr old. The age old tradition of "finders keepers" defines in great length how one who stumbles across such treasures as free monies or items of value can acquire these as his/her own, it's the loss of the person due to their downright stupidity, hence "losers' weepers" I mean seriously, how retarded can you be? ATM's were built in the most foolproof way, ensuring that you can't get overly confused when operating them, and it even emits a LOUD FUCKING BEEPING SOUND to indicate that your stupid ass has to take the money from the machine. In my opinion unless you're deaf or severally handicapped, you have no excuse. You're a moron. However, in light of receiving said ?100 by sheer luck and the grace of the gods, I would proceed to spend a portion of it on a new Xbox360 game (probably a first person shooter, gotta love shooting things) and the rest would be spent on weed. I'd proceed to smoke a fat cone and game my tits off, delighted in how life had thrown me this golden opportunity.
