  1. Sure. And this is just seeding. With the all the other law breaking it probably more like 90%+. https://www.forbes.com/sites/carltonreid/2023/08/24/85-of-car-drivers-break-20mph-speed-limits-reveals-uks-department-for-transport/
  2. So why do so many car drivers break rules? It is around 85%. What do you think should be done about that?
  3. I have been there and cyclist/motorist behaviour is similar to here. You only have to walk around London for a few hours to see 1000s of car drivers breaking the law you may see one or two cyclists jump a red light. Besides I am not sure what you think your whinging about cyclists will achieve. The police base the targeting of their resources on minimising harm to the public not the views of a few anti cycling bigots on an internet forum. As 99% of deaths and injuries are caused by reckless car drivers that is always where their will focus be.
  4. I saw a pedestrian ambling down the middle of the cycle path without a care in the world, then a pedestrian cross without looking, then I lost interest… Cyclists break the rules considerably less than other road users. So you should turn that question around. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-7027809/amp/Cyclists-break-fewer-rules-road-motorists-Danish-study-finds.html
  5. I would have no complaints about a small community driven music festival - but this is just an industrial horror show. Why do the walls need to be that high?
  6. So you have no problem with road users ignoring the rules when they deem them unnecessary and it is safe to do so. Got it.
  7. I saw 5 cars jumpings red lights today and about 30 speeding. One idiot in a white BMW weaving in and out of traffic nearly knocking down a mother pushing pram trying to cross the road. He didn’t even slow down for the ambulance coming the other way. The police do nothing of course.
  8. Well you are complaining about road users who cause 0% of deaths and 2% of injuries on London roads. If you were genuinely worried about road safety you would post more consistently with the relative risk. Do you post 50 posts about car drivers breaking the rules, jumping red lights, driving on pavements, not stopping for pedestrians at junctions- for every one you whine about cyclists? If so you have my respect. Didn’t she move to Essex so she could run down children cycling to school without the middle class “man” getting on her back?
  9. That is clearly not true. I see car drivers breaking the law on an hourly basis - jumping red lights, speeding, not obeying the general rules. Plus they are operating considerably more dangerous machinery and should have a greater responsibility of care to other road uses. You can see who causes the most harm by the stats.
  10. I seem to remember it is quite straight forward - you just send them an email explicitly stating you are making a FOI request and who you are and say you want to see all the responses from the consultation.
  11. Yes I don’t see how condoning off a large section of a public space with giant wall can be described as “inclusive”.
  12. I just ordered my flu and Covid vax on the NHS app. It also tells if you are eligible. Various places are doing them.
  13. There is nothing pathetic about pointing out other equivalent risks and bad behaviour on the roads and pavements and pointing out there are other far bigger threats to injury out there. If incredibly rare accidents are legitimate grounds for complaint - then I ask you what are we going to do about the pedestrians killing cyclists? https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/mar/02/pedestrian-jailed-manslaughter-cyclist-fall-car-huntingdon
  14. PMed
  15. Meanwhile. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jul/06/car-crashes-into-primary-school-in-south-london-wimbledon
