  1. As it goes cazzyr, there has been a bit of sensitivity to any sort of exclusive affairs on what we hope is a communal forum, have a search for the women-only swim nights thread for an example, all 20 odd pages of it. I think Lozzy was being genuinely curious rather than casting aspersions, and I'm pretty certain there would have been a stir if someone were to propose a blacks or asians only drinks at the EDT on the forum.
  2. No score, you just have to beat it? I really really have no clue when it comes to Wales, I mean zero! Weird, I've been there absolutely loads of times, just never bothered to find out about counties I guess.
  3. Annaj pointed out that people do like to hang around with like minded types. I'm having an awful time getting my anglo-spano-caribbean-pedantic-geeky-a-little-bit-jewish-looking-but-not-jewish-not-that-theres-anything-wrong-with-being-jewish swimming night off the ground at the dulwich leisure centre.
  4. Pity there isn't an British counties one. I've a feeling outside of the home counties and west country I'd struggle. As for Wales and Scotland, I mean Nairnshire, Merioneth?!?!?!
  5. Funnily enough i offered a pint there in the sort of parallel thread.
  6. I'm going to become all Sean like and say I can see both sides of the story and in a fit of ambivalence agree wholeheartedly with both Sean and BB. As it now looks like the Castle is not going to happen I will say that the Hurling season is kicking off again soon, and I'll be heading down the castle to watch Wexford lose their annual match. I'll post up the fixture at some point here and I'd encourage those that have always given the Castle a wide berth to come and join us. It'd be during the day when it honestly is safe and welcoming; it's the only place I've bought a round, found myself to be 50p short and before I could call over to a friend, every single person at the bar had stuffed their hand in pocket and offered me the shortfall. It may even introduce you to the wonderful sport of hurling, something I was completely ignorant of until 4 years ago, and is now a confirmed part of my sporting calendar. But yes, it does still smell a bit.
  7. Here you go, US States http://www.lizardpoint.com/fun/geoquiz/usaquiz.html 81 for me, how many times can i click on Wisonsin huh? Nope, that was Wisconsin last time, it's Wisconsin this time, it still ain't Iowa.
  8. weird but addictive. 574 to beat so far http://www.gpotato.com/?m=games&a=flashgameview&i=547&s=Desktop%20Tower%20Defense&sn=&sv=&me=&p=1&fp=1
  9. Here you go Caron, it's the first point on the FAQ
  10. There are a couple of Sam Smiths pubs not a million miles away. One in Rotherhithe, one in Bermondsey and one in Anerley. They're cheap as chips! My post-ED-drinks-addled memory tells me that Oriwisu Spot was damned cheap too.
  11. Oh no, not that again, I'm going to end up with nightmares!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_7270000/newsid_7274600/7274640.stm?bw=bb&mp=rm&asb=1&news=1&bbcws=1
  12. Mind you, the last couple of times we got into Europe we really struggled domestically, so there might be something in it.
  13. I've been forcibly removed form the Black Cherry, but I'm not sure that falling off my chair [while being hugged by Mrs F'n'B] counts as violence per se. *edited for bracket related, unwitting emoticon issue
  14. 1) The CPT 2) The EDT
  15. Hmm, 109, not so great. Damn that west africa is tricky, so many little long thin countries.
  16. There was quite a funky game on facebook that was not dissimilar to this. One of the few apps on that site that was worth adding.
  17. Admittedly the whole saga hasn't exactly sparked a "what on earth are we trying to do there" debate in the media has it. Just the usual stuff about how great our boys are, with the odd exception. Hats off to the lads, they seem to be showing the usual professionalism, but with Opium production at record levels and the government not really liking the cut of our jib anymore, whilst even we are talking to the Taliban, isn't it about time there were more serious questions about what it is our deployment is aiming to do?
  18. Never been to the Herne so happy with that. Any of the Nunhead ones worthwhile? and agreed about it looking like the Ailsa's cafe in Home and Away. Ooh, and did the Canning in October.
  19. We've totally taken our foot off the pedal. We struggled first half of the season with injuries but managed to ensure safety nevertheless with some great performances. But now we've lost our way [and don't know where to go]. Unless Curbs does something to reinvigorate the team, it's a good time to play us as we've been out of sorts for most of the year; beating the pool apart.
  20. It's a little bit luck of draw on the order. Some countries are easier to place if you have a bit of a guide there already. 38, but thought it was a bit unforgiving on san marino and the vatican and malta, i wasn't that far off.
  21. That's what I love about hammers, hope springs eternal. I completely agree that we're bound to win this one *cough* ooh dusty in here *cough*
  22. Is Dulwichmum on that list somewhere. I do hope so!!
  23. I'm all for full circle now. Mag was a year ago, EDT 11 months ago, CPT 10 etc.
  24. If we're doing trips down memory lane, this was my old one. http://www.pub-explorer.com/herts/pub/threemoorhenshitchin.htm Note that it now has waitresses and a kiddies playground, not so in my day, it had darts and casual violence (sometimes together). It got gentrified in 1991 so for all those who think us home counties types are bringing about an irredeemable loss to the character of East Dulwich, pity us poor refugees from these changes elsewhere.
  25. It was tongue in cheek as we seem to be having such a hard time finding a venue. How about a nice picnic?
