  1. Fine discuss it, I'm no arbiter on what can and can't, I merely asked a degree of respect. Can we be a little less emotive about it? I found the quotes around "victim" of a teenager shot in the back somewhat distasteful to say the least for starters.
  2. SCSB79, a decade long enquiry has 100% exonerated the victims of any wrongdoing and has firmly criticised the actions of the army, for which the prime minister of this country has given an unequivocal apology. Unless you are privy to some esoteric knowledge denied to the rest of us, I'd honestly give it a rest if I were you, especially as there are some here with personal experiences and connections. Have a modicum of respect please.
  3. It's 98 all over gain for Spain. Expect to go out winning 7-0 against Chile in the third game because Switzerland decide to lose against Honduras.....or something.
  4. That's the sound of me eating my words.
  5. Precisely, well a flat one maybe.
  6. Crochet demonstration weirdly!!
  7. Line up 1. Pared 2. Barrera 3. Cortina 4. Sierra 5. Anglia 6. Ramos 7. Agadu 8. Dudu 9. Sheikpainapel 10. Fusilista 11. Ganador
  8. World champions elect showing their class. Have they forgotten this is a world cup an not an exhibition match?
  9. Rob Green has trained today and in 3 hours he had 4,000 shots fired at him and did not concede a single goal. Tomorrow, he and Heskey will train with the rest of the squad. Boom boom.
  10. And another snoozer's almost over. Dane's will be kicking themselves, they could have got a draw out of this one, the Dutch need to buck their ideas up if they're too challenge. There was an England like ennui about that performance. ps wot Keef said about this crop of England players. I actually thought the last World Cup WAS their wake-up call, but that proved not to be. Brasil tonight isn't it?
  11. Pathetic frankly and twisted to boot, like I say, nasty piece of work. 'Falling on sword' or simply no longer able to stomach the company; I can't say as I blame Huguenot and feel the same way myself?
  12. Blimey. After 3 days of borefests Germany have certainly stuck a stake in the sand haven't they.
  13. How can it be revenge, I didn't engineer this situation, those posts or that behaviour. I believe the tern is schadenfreude. If people want to defend it then perhaps the forum has indeed got what and who it deserves.
  14. dig dig dig
  15. Ooh, finally revealing your true colours HAL, nasty piece of work. I think the only word that can describe the smearing and misrepresentation, leaving alone the google stalking and outing, is 'vile' frankly. If I were you I'd quietly retreat to lick your wounds rather than keep digging.
  16. Marvellous.
  17. If I face carousel do I get to closely admire Jenny Agutter's legs on the way? Count me in.
  18. If kids keep breaking your windows with stones, claiming that they're merely doing quality control, or because it's the free country of forumdonia and anything goes (except opinions of moderators), or even heaven forbid the window breaking is ironic, so people think it's all acceptable behaviour, you'd probably move away eventually. It may be your choice as a grown up, but to absolve the vandals of any responsibilty beggars belief Narnia. Bitter me? Anyway, as usual meh.
  19. Regards Arcade Fire, current bands with a let down sophomore should be exempt, too early to tell really isn't it. This means we're in safe territory slagging off The Strokes.
  20. You can watch it round mine if you fancy.
  21. You're a cruel man *bob*. :-) While you're here Bob, I can't help buit notice that the music to CBeebies' "Same Smile" is a blatant rip-off of The Primitives' Crash. Would they receive royalties for that, or could they sue?
  22. here you go Jeremey Los Endos You may not like it, especially the hairstyles, but you be hard pressed to call any of it workmanlike.
  23. Can't agree with The Sundays, RWA is a great love of mine, but still sounds like a mellow and pretty Smiths tribute album, whereas Blind really solidified their own sound (bland but lovely). Marquee Moon, and it's one of my favourite albums (it is prog though, go on, listen again), I'm constantly told is missing the point as apparently they were all about the live sound and even that album was recorded towards the end of their career. Can Flowered Up's A Life With Brian count if they didn't actually do a follow up?
  24. Oops, forgot vocals. Mr Plant is just too OTT, I read an interview recently where he said he listened to their old stuff and winced at his, what he termed, vocal masturbation. On his recent (rather wonderful) collaboration with Alison Kraus he more suggests his voice than actually sings, so he's obviously trying to redress a balance there. His followers may have embraced WRAWK, I'm thinking Tyler, Rose et al, but it was all a bit naff wasn't it. Brian Wilson might be the most influential in our day, but I can never quite work out whether the whole falsetto harmonies thing is genius or dodgy affectation, though the Beegees, come on, they were cool. I may have to go with Daltrey as it goes, great voice that always fit the music just so right.
