Is there anyone out there who fancies repairing or replacing a ceiling? The framework is there, but a lot of the plasterboard and skim coat has gone. It was damaged by a leaky roof. I know how, but have become extremely weak after having cov19.

I play piano in this casual way from time to time, but am now suffering from long covid, which causes me to play an awful lot of bum notes. However, I believe the guy who has the piano shop in Kirkdale does this kind of thing. Anyway, what's your piano like? Does it stay in tune, and is it at standard A440?

Not very clear what you mean. Do you mean a double-glazed casement window needs replacing or do you mean you mean a single casement needs replacing with a double-glazed one (and incidentally the whole window consists of an outer frame and a window)? I cannot do it, but imagine someone who could would want to know what you are seeking.

My central heating does this very faintly when switched on. When switched off there is total silence. could this be what is happening?

Greetings all. I am new to this forum, and I am most likely to be using it to try to get small building jobs done. Hundreds of them, but not all at once. And some gardening. I tried to create an account using the X link offered because I thoroughly resent the way Google tries to own us all, and as far as I can make out obstructs anyone who wants to act independently. It didn't work of course. So I have been forced to use Google. If anyone knows a way round this I would love to know.
