I need to get a tree stump and 3 large logs out of my house. anyone know a man and a van or a garden waste disposal that could do this for cheap? I could try council bulky waste but afraid items are a bit larger than the limit stated on the website… Thanks!

Folding loft ladder recommendation
Daniel_CR17 replied to luamaria123's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Hi - Just in case this is useful for anybody, I have another glowing recommendation for Graham 07930 763431 He has done thousands of loft ladders in the area and is extremely experienced, quick and prices very reasonably. While up in the loft he even repaired a light switch that had not been working for ages. The ladder is fitted quite snug and works perfectly. Best, Daniel -
How to get rid of extra Garden/Waste large bins
Daniel_CR17 replied to Daniel_CR17's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks to all for the advice, very glad to have this community for these enquiries. Here is how it got resolved in case its useful for anyone in the future: I had ordered some garden waste bags, and when the Veolia person came around I just asked them, and they were more than happy to take it no questions asked. 🙂 -
Hi EDF, Bit of a weird one. We're clearing out our garden, and have found in there 2 extra bins: one of the large brown ones for garden waste, and a medium one for food composting. These must have been owned by the previous owner, and we dont need them. How do I give them back to the council? I cannot find anything on the website. I tried Bulky Waste collection, but they dont have a category for this...(and they say they are quite strict 'Only listed bulky items can be collected') Appreciate any guidance! 🙂 Daniel Perhaps another question for the forum would be how strict the Bulky Waste collection is. Would they take stuff that isnt necessarily spelled out in the list of items on the website? I imagine its just a van with some staff that is not paying that much attention to what they take (as long as its reasonable...) Thanks!!! 🙂

Hi ED Forum! Can anyone recommend a business or individual that does clothes alterations? I'm getting married and I would like to do a simple trouser re-hemming, perhaps willing to pay a bit more than the service provided in a dry cleaners. But hey! If people have used them and they're good I'll just give them a shot. Thanks a lot! Daniel

Local plumber and gas engineer - Jafar - Portrait Plumbing
Daniel_CR17 replied to jcarter2711's topic in Reviews
I have another great review for Jafar. Our old old old boiler broke down on a freezing Sunday. I called him in the morning and he was able to come same day. Even though our boiling was old and complicated, he was able to get it up and running. His rate is £150 per hour on a Sunday. Friendly, honest, and highly skilled. Thanks to those above me who recommended him 🙂
