Re-opening of monthly weekday coffee morning at Honor Oak Baptist Church, Forest Hill Rd, SE22 0SG / www.hobc.org.uk on the third Thursday from 10.30am - 12.00pm. Informal gathering in bright and spacious church hall. Time to chat with neighbours and friends, bring your own knitting or handicraft projects, take part in a game of Scrabble, indulge in a book. All welcome.
Start date: Thursday 16 September and third Thursday of every month thereafter.

Re-opening of Little Oaks - a playgroup for under 5s with parents/carers at Honor Oak Baptist Church, Forest Hill Rd, SE22 0SG / www.hobc.org.uk on a Wednesday (term time) from 9.30am - 11.30am. The playgroup is held in the bright and spacious church hall with a wide selection of toys available for the children to play with and a time spent singing nursery rhymes at the close. Drinks and snacks are provided with a small fee charged. A great opportunity for parents/carers to meet if new to the area.
Start date: Wednesday 8 September - please note this is a drop in session and will be limited to numbers on a first come first serve basis.

A thanksgiving service for the life of Florrie Cocks (b.1923 - d.2019), playschool leader at Honor Oak Baptist Church (HOBC) from 1967 - 1994 will be held at HOBC, Forest Hill Road, SE22 0SG on Saturday 1 February at 3.00pm
Miss Florrie ran the playschool group held in the former church hall on Mundania Road from 1967 for 27 years and was also involved in the church Sunday School and running of Imps - part of the Boys' Brigade.
All welcome to attend the service with refreshments to follow.

All welcome to come and knit squares or strips which will be combined into blankets to be donated to the "Freedom from Fistula Foundation". Knitting needles and wool provided. Tea, coffee and cake served throughout the day. Stop by to knit a few rows, a few squares and meet fellow knitters.
