Seconding Ralphations recommendation: Hoopers quiz on a Thursday, around 20:45/21:00 hrs is great fun and not too intense with very friendly atmosphere. Usual picture/music/general round format. Plus it's a nice place to have a good honest beer. It's a free house, not a pubco place, so they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Usually open till midnight so you're not bundled out the door, either!
