You want me to spell it out. OK. Dulwich Park and most other parks have a path/road that circumnavigates the park. Walk on the grass not on the pathway therefore not near anyone. Most people aren't doing this.

If you go to the park don't walk on the path. Simple

Bit one thing that really needs to change is this ingrained attitude that your personal property can simply be left, free of charge, anywhere you please.

I'd rather become a Park member and pay an annual fee than this. Did the council ever think to ask what the residents wanted. Having lived all over south London, one of the many great things about our area is you don't have to pay for parking. It's such a minor thing but has such a negative impact on your day. This is so shortsighted and infuriating

I would advise anyone against fighting back (unless you are f****** hard), they could easily have knives or worse a gun although unlikely. Screaming for help would be wiser and running to the nearest front door and banging the hell out of it or smashing someones front window would be my choice if I good go back in time.
