My husband and I are looking for a nanny to start on May 26th 2026, for our two children. Our sons will be 4.5 and the baby almost 1 years old, and we are keen to find somebody caring, patient and positive, to warmly welcome into our friendly family for the long term.
What: Taking care of our baby 8 am - 6 pm whilst also doing nursery and then school drop off and pick-up for our eldest. We won't require the nanny to do school drop off on Fridays.
As well as spending time at our house we would like the nanny to organise daytime activities with the baby, for example play dates, playgroups, classes, and the park.
With the eldest, we would like the nanny to engage and play with him after school, and they may need to help with homework when he is older.
We will need the nanny to prepare and provide supper and bath for both children on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Where: Poet's Corner, Herne Hill. We don't know yet which school our eldest will be attending in the autumn, but it will be in the Herne Hill area (walkable).
Until then he is at nursery, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm. On Tuesdays he goes to a nursery a 3 minute walk away. On Thursdays and Fridays it is further away in Dulwich, via bus and walking it takes 20 minutes.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays my husband will often be working from home up in the office at the top of the house, and we will both regularly work from home on Fridays.
When: 28 hours broken into 3 days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 am - 6 pm and Fridays 9 - 5 pm. Two nights of babysitting per month, exact dates to be discussed and agreed with the nanny.
Expectations: Sole charge child care, children's laundry and tidying. We would really like somebody who will batch cook for the family when preparing the children's meals. We expect the nanny to help with general tidying and cleaning up after, as they would their own home.
Qualifications: Up to date DBS check, infant first aid training, experience and enthusiasm caring for infants and children, references we can pick up the phone to. Valid driving license preferable but not essential.
