On average each ward has 3 or 4 teams each working a 3 week rotating shift pattern, so depending on the team and the week the shifts differ. A late is 2 - 11 day 10 - 7 and early 7 - 4 and that looks like this off off late late day off off late late day early day off off off early day early late late late Confusing but the first shift of each week is a monday and we work 1 weekend in 3 Hope that makes sense

We do work closely with the Dulwich team as they are iur sister team working the same shift pattern as us but they as you so rightly point out boarder our ward and us theirs so often cross over and help each other out

Well done to you guys > for getting the 'Police' user name first though! The East Dulwich team were originally looking at coming onto the forum however as a service we are currently on hold from entering new forums until official guidance can be given as to what we can say and do. When this is done i know that sgt Jackson and his team are very eager to join the forum
  5. If someone see's someone or something which they believe is suspicious then we would always encourage them to report it. If people wish to give information in confidence then they can always contact crimestoppers via their website http://www.crimestoppers-uk.org/ or call 0800555111 or if you have your local SNT's contact number you can ring them and give them the information
  6. Green Goose Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are you the guys in the red day-glo jackets? No we are certainly not, as mentioned above they are the council wardens and are employed by Southwark to carryout patrols and deal with such problems as litter and dumped cars. We are teams of one police sergeant and two - four police constables. we are also supported by between 2 and 5 police community support officers who are dressed in blue shirts.

The role of the SNT is to provide a ward based police prescence. We deal with most non urgent crimes such as graffitti and damage to cars. These incidents are reported to police in the normal way and are fed down to us to deal with. We also deal with proactive issues on the ward such as addresses being used to deal or supply drugs. This information is always useful to us, but also if you are a victim of crime it should always be reported so that it at the very least can be used for intelligence purposes
