Piggy

Hi everyone - I'm babysitting my niece next Wednesday, does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to keep her entertained in the local area or within a reasonable drive? She's 2, nearly 3. I live in Forest Hill so we've done the Horniman Museum to death already. Thanks!

In my opinion, the 400 year freak spring conditions have caused it. I was stood outside The Plough Sainsburys when a whole branch just fell off a tree. Next stop... Polar bears roaming Lordship Lane.

In case anyone is thinkng of getting a new chain and ground anchor, I recommend these http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk/index.asp?pg=1 They are seriously thick and heavy so only really of use for security at your home location but they are the toughest around. They look like something used to moor the Titanic. Most popular chains can be bolt cropped but for these they'll need an angle grinder which tends to make a lot more noise. I'm not connected with this company by the way, I just rate their product. EDIT: Oops... posted under the wife's account, I'm Alfie Noakes. Not that I post much.

There are actually two lollipop men working the Townley Road crossing and they take helpfulness to an extreme level. When they seem me approaching the crossing one of them will press the button so the green man appears at the optimum moment then walk into the middle of the road, brandishing his lollipop, to assist. Nice but odd.
