Maybe not for the complete newbie, but I use http://orchardhosting.com/ - there support is in-house up in Manchester and very good at responding to queries and issues.

Crushed and downgraded, shurely?

Which is why any of the above actually apologising is pretty amazing.

What would have been good is two half sized bins that take up roughly the same space as the present 240 litre one. That way, all of us who have a special space for the green bin could fit both in.

Who'd have ever thought Balls would apologise for his (and Labour's) part in the crisis?
There's be snowball fights and snowman making competitions in Hades tonight.

Considering it would still be attached to the umbilical cord, would this not work as a high-speed, sideways bungee jump?

Careful though, as JohnL says this original theory is quite possible. Jammers for remotes are easily available and have quite a range. And Sainsbo's carpark would be a pretty big fishing ground.
I always check anyway, as if any door isn't fully closed my car refuses to lock!

Long overdue and is taking too long to implement in my opinion. Protecting the High St operation from the investment arms means that the high risk stuff doesn't threaten the low risk stuff. And therefore less bail outs.

You need to run faster, DJKQ...!

Hooray! Always good to get the old political sloganeering out. I bet if you heard that they had turned down the opportunity to promote the paralympics you'd have stuck the boot in even harder.
Heads you win, tails you win.

I've been doing Kiva for about a year or so and have totted up 24 loans so far. I think it's great. I relend as the payments come in and lob another US$50 or so into my pot every couple of months.
We should start an EDF lender team!
One thing to watch is that there are interest payments made to the local lending organisation (which they keep). You are just stumping up the capital.

Oh boy, if you get any footballers along are they going to be a little confused. And possibly disappointed.

SC - Watch this- it'll show how the fractional reserve banking system works.

You have some sloe gin left? Mine had disappeared by March. Mmmmmmm.

Then someone would have criticised them for looking scruffy.

Then someone would have criticised them for not taking wheelchair sports seriously.
Really, whatever a politician does (or even most celebrities) they are going to be criticised by someone, somewhere for it.

An interesting couple of ideas from the Guardian...
Firstly, MM's 320,000 high-rate tax payers contribute 24% of income tax intake. But then consider why the tax may do more harm than good.
An individual on ?500k per annum will pay ?241k a year Income Tax and Emploees NI - of this ?17.5k is due to the increase from 40% to 50%. The additional income raised is therefore ?17.5k. If one person on ?500k pa leaves the country or retires early we "lose" ?241k tax income.
Therefore the additional income raised from 14 people (?17.5k x 14 = ?245k) is required to cover the loss from one person leaving/retiring (?241k). So if 1in 15 stops paying the tax by emigrating or stopping working we break even. If 1 in 14 stops we are worse off.
And if the one who leaves is on ?5m pa then we need shedloads of people "only" on ?500k to cover the loss!!

What do you call 15 Kiwis watching the World Cup final on TV?
The All Blacks.
(Sorry Pickle!)

How? From the platforms they are 50m away locked in a fairly sound proofed room. And you can bet that they are not watching the cctv at all, would (quite rightly) refuse to approach any 'rogues' and can't call the police any quicker that you can.
The difference to safety between them being there and not being there is very, very, very negligible.

My point exactly. You apply that criteria to *any* march - especially now ones involving students, anti-globalisation protesters or anyone from Tottenham.
Welcome to the thin end of the wedge.

How does a bloke locked away in a room in ED station really improves safety on the platform? Or is it you just feel safer, like a security blanket?

Totally missing the point of a party. Next you'll be suggesting cups of tea and cucumber sandwiches all round.
