I should like to put in a good word for Paul Dove (07855-766615) who installed my new boiler/heating system a couple of years ago and who has looked after my plumbing/heating requirements for the last 15 years and also installed an electric shower for me. He is a fast, professional and tidy worker who also takes the time to explain the various solutions available for a particular problem. Gas Safe registration 145591 and highly recommended!

I think "insulata" is great! My favourite misspellings on foreign menus are "Milk Snakes" and "God in tomato sauce" - both seen on restaurant menus on the island of Aegina, Greece!

Quite agree, monica! It's the shared experience that puts the joy into cinema-going - and it gets you out-and-about and puts money into the economy as well. The only problem for me is that long string of very L O U D ads you have to endure before you get to the film....

While we're (sort of) on this subject, could I put in a plea here on behalf of walkers for ALL cyclists to ensure they have a working bell on their bikes? I don't have eyes in the back of my head and it would be a much politer way of making me get out of the way than shouting at me, or overtaking me too close and at speed. Thanks!
