Hayes Galleria, near London Bridge has a number of kid friendly places- cafe Rouge, Cote, I think there's a pizza express too, and it's a nice space for running around in too! Only 5 mins walk from station.

It's not in ED but if you had a car and were Nunhead side then Puddleducks on Merttin's rd is brilliant. They take them from 2 and my son has been really happy there. Not sure how it would work for you if working/commuting from ED but would definitely recommend and I got a space there within a couple of months of enquiring.

I'm afraid I feel I should add to this, just in case this is still coming up when people are searching for recommendations. Although the work looked lovely, since it was finished there have been a number of ongoing issues/problems directly related to the work done. So I probably wouldn't recommend on the back of that.

Oops sorry everyone, I've only just realised that these replies were on here! I think he has a website- google Jonathan Payne builder, tho it's not extensive. We booked him as I know he did Cafe Viva in Peckham. His number is 07975 720881 and am posting pic here of the kitchen. Be aware it's an estate agent photo so it looks a lot bigger than it is but it does show the loveliness..we went from having kitchen with bathroom behind it to knocking down bathroom (and putting bathroom upstairs) and extending kitchen into what was bathroom space and installing French doors.

If anyone is looking for a good local builder, I wanted to recommend Jon Payne and his team who have just done our kitchen and bathroom. We are really pleased with the job and the finished rooms are just lovely! The guys were really friendly, and finished more-or-less on time and budget. He's also been happy to come back to sort any little issues that have come up since the finish. Let me know if anyone wants to see photos of finished work !
