Hi I advertised for someone to pick up my 4yr old two days a week and recieved no response, do many other parents do this? Am thinking the 2-3 hrs a week might not be worth a child minders while. In which case can anyone advise how to fill this gap. Would au pairs consider this for extra pocket money do you think? Am interested to hear how others find help for just a few hours s week ? Thanks (nursery is villa but we live in ED)

Winter wonderland in Hyde park has a free Santa that gives a free toy,he's pretty good too, so are his elfs. it gets horribly busy at weekends and eves so we took day off work and went at 10am on a weekday morning and it was empty . The rides are expensive though, even for toddlers, but it was a really fun morning. not exactly local though.

He was in our street on Friday, called me lots of names when I declined. I actually thought he had Tourettes as his insults were a bit odd -
The Hyde park one in winter wonderland is great, and same price as the others. Though you will come back poorer if you go there with a 7 year

When should I start looking for a childminder...
Mrtibbs replied to happyduck's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I started looking 3-4 months before I went back to work. I found a lovely minder called Julie who lives in a lovely house on tyrell road, I saw someone else on this forum called Yasmina has also recommended her. Julie doesn't use the Internet, so best way to contact her is by phone 07943549721. Good luck. It's so hard leaving them, would recommend doing a prolonged settling in. I left my daughter with Julie for 2 hours a day twice a week for a whole month before I went back and she settled fine when it came to longer days and napping.
