  1. hi -they sell normal knitting wool in Kristal Pharmacy on Nunhead Lane, next door to Ayres the Bakers. You might find what you need in there Good Luck!
  2. Just had our chimney swept again, using the same guys as last year. NACS certified and the young chap that came round I think is the heir to the family business. Very friendly, even remembered that we had some US visitors here last time. 07930345245 is the mobile and we are happy that it is all done cleanly and safely and they arrived on time.
  3. Hi - not dim at all. The vote buttons are at the bottom of this blog page http://londonwithatoddler.com/2013/10/25/nominees-for-londons-most-toddler-friendly-cafe-award/
  4. If like me your kids have enjoyed making you wooden pizza while you tuck into a gorge slice of cake and mega coffee then vote for your local toddler friendly coffee shop here! Congrats to Shona & Cat http://londonwithatoddler.com/2013/10/25/nominees-for-londons-most-toddler-friendly-cafe-award/
  5. Although my little ones are now 3 and 5 I just wanted to let new mums and dads know about the cafe that has sprung up on our street, The Dish and the Spoon @Dishse15 if you tweet. Lots of places round here struggle with whether they are family friendly or not, but this place certainly is and lots of new parents are in there swapping stories and making friends. I love it for the amazing Dark Fluid coffee and the deli which has some nice cheeses.
  6. The Scout hut came up trumps for us this last weekend when we were double booked somewhere else. The instructions were really clear as to how to use the place and the rates at ?5 per half hour very reasonable for a nice big child friendly space. A wee bit dusty (but a broom helped that) and obviously a scout hut but 15 four year olds loved running about in it so much it is tempting to hire it just for rainy days! Very good choice if (like us) you want to do old fashioned 70s style party (musical chairs etc.) but don't have the space. The email to contact is [email protected].
  7. Hi - our eldest (3) has been at Waveney for 18 months and just loves it. The outside space and friendly atmosphere is just brilliant. Our youngest starts there in September. When we drop our eldest off in the morning she hardly pauses to say goodbye - she has made lots of friends there and the staff are really attentive. The other parents are great as well, the waiting list was quite long when we joined so you are lucky! Do PM me if you want to ask more questions
