  1. My oldest has just finished his first term in Reception at DKH. I am now looking ahead to Easter and the Summer holidays and realising we won't be able to cover it all. What do other people do? What options do I have? Thanks Anna
  2. An innovative exhibition FocusOut opens at House Gallery & Caf? in Camberwell on Monday 15. Curated by local residents Anna Birney (yes me) & Louise Armstrong, the exhibition encourages visitors to experience and question the world around them and explore how art can provide a space to inspire. A family friendly Saturday drop in Saturday 20th July 10am-4pm, when Anna and Louise will be in residence to explore the co-created window display and imagine what?s next for us and the people and places we love. Pens and paper for kids to add to the expanding window display will be available If you can't join us for this then come to our supper club or drinks on Friday the 19th http://focus-out.tumblr.com/events Hope to see some of you there!

  4. Thanks all for your thoughts - I appreciate that it is not a lottery with certain odds, but it does feel like that at times... Any more live examples welcome!
  5. I would be interested from parents with kids in primary school what was the highest number on the waiting list and they still got into their chossen primary school - and when did it happen - before September or after My first and second choices are 8th and 7th... Just trying to calculate the probability !
  6. Two questions - What is the average number of places that come up in a school - I am 8th on the waiting list and want to know the likelyhood of getting in. Any examples from previous years of number on waiting list and still got in? - Can we trust that Southwark will call us when the place becomes available - I can't find anything that outlines the procedure, e.g. if they don't get a reply from a parent (on their mobile) do they just move down the list or do they send a letter out and wait for a reply and then if not accepted they move to the next one? Thanks in advance
