  3. Hey pebs - I heard the first part of this on Sunday but missed the rest so will catch up on i-player. Thanks for the reminder and yes, its great to hear somewhere local getting this kind of exposure :)
  4. Mr Barber - thank you so much for posting that info, very helpful of you. Interested to note that a price floor for carbon has been agreed. National recharging for electric and hybrids - sounds great in theory but wouldn't this work better with Europe for standardisation to be really effective. Again thanks, genuinely interested to read this doc.
  5. Precisely! Not cheap is it?

  7. Where was Tony Blair educated?
  8. Apologies Tony. My school report card did say "Katie1997 is easily distracted, but shows promise in glue-ing and drawing". Only one of those was correct. What time is it btw?

  10. Circle plates are a better idea if you're not partial to grilled goats cheese with a balsamic and white wine jus drizzled just so with roughly torn fresh Lebanese mint leaves, artistically arranged with ruby jewel-like pomegranate seeds.

  13. 85% of scots voted against the tories - alex salmond now saying new government has no mandate in Scotland...
  14. wow, almost found myself agreeing with mick mac's post until the bit about Tony Blair!! Osborne chancellor! We will be living in mud huts soon. William Hague as Foreign Secretary? How wrong could I be.... Have the lib dems sold their souls? Should we prepare for anarchy? ::o News just in - DC still a smug b******.
  15. ...when little lost bunny rabbits with blue dungarees and teddies with one eye are reunited with their owners via the forum :) (fingers crossed for any lost toys out there yet to be claimed)
  16. Election prediction should have said: Vote Lib Dem and get Conservative! That won't be popular in Scotland where there is only 1 Tory MP.
  17. yes, the simplest things bring the greatest pleasures. For me its hanging the laundry up outdoors - brings immense (irrational to some?) joy. *considers career move*
  18. Winning at chess*, draughts, backgammon, scrabble, connect 4, monopoly, cluedo. Oh and cards. Doesn't happen often..... *especially brings joy depending on who I am playing against.

  20. Beginning to think people should only be allowed to vote if they have been to the hustings and heard their prospective MP speak....
  21. Yeah, how bland is that - snooze city. Lets sit on the fence, why not? You did that guy a favour...except for ruining his lunch maybe...... Although IMO they are all pretty rubbish now TBH (although I used to quite like this for news and dilbert)
  22. I hope it was the Grauniad.....
  23. as long as its not 'Peater' aka 'Mandy' http://timesonline.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/10/22/peter_mandelson_moustache.jpg
  24. mash with chips???????? woof, you say some 'unusual' things but this has GOT to take the record (tu) whereas your eye gouging incident at the chinese is not questioned LOL :))
  25. Does anyone else hate it when you get to the checkout and you have to pack your bags on the right hand side but if you pay by card you have to move (okay, its only a little bit) over to the left (but basically right beside someone else who is trying to pack their bag)? :-S
