  1. Deuba foldable handwaggon, in original box, never used. Blue colour.
  2. One ramp sold, another one still available,
  3. A djembe drum with a cotton carrier. Approx 30 cm diameter drum and 60cm height.
  4. ...another happy customer here too. Steve has transformed two sofas from very grubby to very clean. Would highly recommend.
  5. I was excited to see a blackcap in my garden on Sunday - the first time I?ve spotted one. Then even more excited to see two redpolls. I?ve never seen them before. Apparently they are doing well and becoming more common, see https://www.bto.org/volunteer-surveys/gbw/about/news/latest/2013/redpoll-rise. Also anyone interested in birdwatching might like to register for BirdTrack - you can use it to see what species have been recorded locally. https://www.bto.org/volunteer-surveys/birdtrack/about
  6. Peckham Society has lots of local information on what life was like in the local area, if you're interested in finding out more about thta.
  7. I thought FATCA applied to US nationals only? I.e HSBC only have to report information on accounts held by US nationals. Also I thought that some types of accounts were excluded as they were judged to be low risk, so even if you are a U.S. national then it may be the case that this sort of account need not be reported on. HSBC ought to be able to advise.
  8. There were two nuthatches in Camberwell Old Cemetery this afternoon. I also heard a woodpecker calling.
  9. The National Autistic Society gave a talk at my workplace about the work they do to support people with autism in securing a job. They also supported people in work and their employers on an ongoing basis. Typical jobs included working in banks / the city / government doing work involving understanding of complex systems or data management. The Society rep said he had developed good links with employers who valued highly the reliability, commitment and knowledge of complex systems of people with autism. Maybe it would be worth contacting the Society for advice?
  10. You can apply to become a school governor via the One Stop Shop for Governors, www.sgoss.org.uk
  11. My son is in his second year at Cabrini and is enjoying it a lot. Like JAJ we managed to get a place there after not being offered any of our initial choices in the allocation process, and have been very pleased with the school. Teaching has been excellent in both reception and Year 1, and the children do a lot of fun activities - World Book Day, Easter bonnet parade, trips out, extra drama and sports tuition, etc., and the teachers find ways to draw on these in their lessons. Music and drama tuition seems generally a strong point - the school has a dedicated music teacher for school plays etc, and there are extra music lessons higher up in the school. The school performances we have been to have been of a very high standard - there's the traditional Nativity play at Christmas and this term our son's school assembly performance was all about special people in the children's lives (the school dinner ladies got a mention!). The school has organised some social events for parents and organised a Christmas fair which was excellent - heaving, with a fun and friendly atmosphere. I'm not Catholic but I like the way the school promotes a thoughtful, reflective approach, e.g the theme this term has been reflecting on building good friendships.
  12. ..or Football Magic, based in Burbage Road, Saturday mornings (and holiday clubs). www.footballmagiccoaching.co.uk
  13. That's brilliant news about funding for the junction, I have complained to the council in the past about it being unsafe for cyclists, I'm really pleased to hear improvements are being made.
  14. ..or you could try Sugar Pocket, see here for pictures and contact details: https://www.facebook.com/SugarPocket
  15. Hi Gina, My son has eczema, I can recommend the M&S 'Skinkind' range, 100% cotton and no scratchy seams or labels. They tend to run out of stock early so I would order as soon as you can. The skirts & trousers come in black or grey. The M&S range is much, much better value (at least a third of the price) than clothes from specialist eczema stores. M&S also do 100% cotton polo shirts, also very good. My son's school has been understanding about not having the school logo on the shirt, sweatshirt etc.

There are some native black poplars in Camberwell Old Cemetery, one was unfortunately chopped down during the recent works. If you have a cutting of it, it would be great to find somewhere local to plant it, as it is native to Britain. I suggest you contact Daniel GReenwood from the London Wildlife Trust, I'm sure he would be interested in your cutting it if is a black poplar. His work address is [email protected].
  17. This is out of London, but gets very good reviews: www.schoolofartisanfood.org
  18. I agree with bawdy-nan - combing with a nitty gritty comb is very effective. My child has very sensitive skin so we didn't use any treatment other than the comb, which cleared the nits within days.
  19. Just to say we tried out route 12 Tonbridge to Penshurst and back yesterday - it was great! Lovely trails through woodland, fields and along the river. The children liked the ride, the playground at Tonbridge was fab too, and the heated lido at Tonbridge looks worth another trip.
