Thanks folks, I'll defo go to the bike market, great idea!

Wise people of the forum, I'm looking for advice on buying a bike for my 6 year old girl. She can't ride, so maybe one we can take pedals offer a bit of balancing 1st? Or can you with any bike?! Don't have a massive budget, and more than happy to buy good condition second hand. Any advice on what to buy much appreciated. Or indeed if you have one for sale...

I did not know I had to send proof of a new school place, no one in Southwark or Lewisham has asked for proof. Both councils were aware of my two offers and when I chased it up recently Southwark told me there was no reason why the school I'm turning down shouldn't know I'm not coming. Maybe the confusion lies in the fact I am dealing with two LA's?! I live in Southwark but schools are in Lewisham. Its really silly that they don't make this more clear! Will phone and check again tomorrow, incase someone is waiting for proof of my school place.

I just wanted to say that I've been trying to let school and local authority know that I didn't want my school place(lucky enough to be offered 1st choice from CAF, and also got a place we wanted from school outside the system)but no one will listen! I know that loads of people are desperate to move up lists, so was keen to let them know, but only this week received a letter from school I thought I'd turned down to say what class my daughter is in etc! I've Let all relevant people know again that I'm not taking the place, I hope they will listen. but worry that they just wait till people don't show up in September before offering out? Any way, if a lot of people are having the same experience as me then maybe there will be more movement to come as LA's finally figure out who want what. I hope it works out for you.

Do you automatically get on the waiting lists for all schools on your list above the one you have been given, even if they are in a different borough? I seem to remember at an open day being told you only go on the one's in your own borough?

If the school does go ahead in ED does anyone know where exactly? Is there a site in mind for each of the locations on the consultation document?

Having not known anything about this school before I haven't been to any info sessions, all I'm going on is the info on the site. Sounds good, not sure I would be in the 'catchment' but how would I know as I can't find where they might be? The consultation suggests four possible areas, you all talk about two? Again, am I missing something obvious? Would ideally have liked to know more before school app deadline, but as thats next week is it suggested we just apply on the of chance the school ends up in our area? Much as I like the idea of the school I don't think I'd like my child to travel too far to Primary School.

Have i missed obvious info about this before? Seems short notice for September 2013 entry. They don't don't know where they will be based?!
