  1. We?re looking for a new cleaner who is available for four hours per week on either a Thursday or Friday. We?d like someone experienced, extremely reliable and trustworthy who goes above and beyond and sees what needs cleaning before we do. We are based in West Dulwich so we will need someone who is able to travel to us easily. We?d also like someone who is family friendly and used to small children. This is a position for someone who takes real pride in what they do, who is enthusiastic and with whom we can build up a strong rapport over time. We?re looking for an individual rather than agency cleaners. References essential. Please send me a private message if you think you fit the bill.
  2. Another strong recommendation for Oskar and his hard-working team, Roman and Michael. We?ve just had our garden repaved, a new patio at the back created and two flower beds installed. We?re delighted with the finished look - it?s literally like another room has been added to the house. Thanks to their hard work we will be able to enjoy our garden all summer. Oskar was quick to respond to my questions, provided a quote swiftly and his team worked extremely hard to complete the work in just a week. They were very thoughtful about what was needed, were polite and easy to have around. I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend Oskar and the team - in fact we already have to a friend.
  3. I'm looking for a hard-working, very reliable cleaner who is available on a Thursday or Friday for 3-4hrs in the West Dulwich/West Norwood area. Our current cleaner has been brilliant but is off to have a baby - I'm looking for someone with equally high standards to her! Please pass on your recommendations or let me know if you're looking for additional hours yourself. I need someone to start from early April. Thanks
  4. I would also like to recommend Russell who came to give a quote within 48 hours, gave a really clear explanation of what repair work was required for our roof and squeezed us in in the build up to Christmas by getting his team in to do the job within the week. The team worked hard, got the job done quickly and showed me pictures of exactly what had been repaired. Thoroughly professional, trustworthy and very easy to work with.
  5. I wanted to recommend a personal stylist I've recently used for a bit of a wardrobe revamp. If you're desperate for some advice on what to wear but don't know where to start then Claire Lopez is brilliant. She helped advise me on what to get rid of in my wardrobe (the stuff I NEVER wore!) and gave me the confidence to restock my wardrobe with clothes I'll actually wear - for years to come. Claire has worked in fashion retail for years so has heaps of experience, will tailor her skills to your needs and is especially great if you're getting your body back post-baby and need some guidance/support/confidence with what to wear to suit your shape. Claire also works with male clients so her shopping service or wardrobe detox could make a great Xmas gift for anyone. Can't recommend her enough. Here's her website if you want to get in touch: http://stylebyclairelopez.co.uk/
  6. Another recommendation for Terry. He replied to my email straight away and was able to come round within 48 hours. He was friendly, knew his stuff and offered a reasonable rate.
  7. Wonder if anyone has any recommendations or can help please? We live in an Edwardian property where some of the sash windows have been replaced but some are still aluminium framed ones. They are very difficult to open and close and could do with 'reconditioning'. They are double glazed and not in bad condition so rather than replace them, I'd like to remove the glass from the frames, refit them and give them a general sort out. Could anyone recommend someone for this kind of job please? Thanks very much.
  8. I just wanted to post to recommend a great gardener who does a mixture of landscaping and labouring work. Al from VaVa Bloom Gardening recently did a brilliant job of clearing a lot of rubble/stoney earth and deep roots from our garden to clear it for landscaping. Al was very prompt when arriving to give a free quote, provided the quote on email the next day, had various suggestions of ways to dispose of the waste and then completed the work very efficiently in less time than anticipated. I found Al through the forum but wanted to let more people know that he's very reliable and did a great job for us. Thank you Al. 9. Hi Wondered if anyone could recommend a really reliable, reasonably priced garden labourer to clear and dispose of some quite heavy stones at the back of our garden as well as dig a large, compacted mound of earth to level it. It would probably be more than a one man job. I've been let down by someone and am keen to find a replacement to do the work w/c 24 March. I don't think it would be more than a day's work. I'd be grateful for suggestions of people you really rate. Thanks very much.
  10. Hi Pippa We used Roberts and Dennys based in Peckham in February and they were excellent - I did the rounds getting quotes and they were more competitive than anyone else. Nice guys and nothing was damaged. Thanks
