Hello, I’m looking for recommendations for a carpenter to help with our utility room. This will include help building new fitted wall cupboards (MDF), fitting a new external door and a few other bits of carpentry. The walls also need decorating following damage from water ingress. Ideally I’d prefer to use the same person or team for both but I can arrange this separately if needed. Thank you.

Constant burst water mains at the Overhill Road end of LL

I hear you! We seem to lose our water supply at least once a quarter? It’s become part of the routine over the years. Sometimes we get a warning, most of the time we don’t. I don’t understand why it’s a repeated problem. The water wasted is also astonishing. -
Thank you so much Joe for taking over and saving the forum! and also for modernising it. I hope you enjoy running it and we don’t make it too stressful for you 😊

It?s a shame that the bays aren?t marked. The lamp post chargers are inconspicuous so it?s not surprising that people park in front of them. -
Hi, I?ve lived on Dunstans for 12 years. It?s quiet here. I love being close to the parks/green spaces (Dulwich Park, Peckham Rye, Dawson?s hill, Sydenham woods, Horniman). It?s easy to walk to Dulwich Village and Lordship Land shops. I don?t notice school traffic noise but I?m not that close to the school. The views over London are stunning. If you walk to the top of Dawson?s hill you can see the views and many of us have these views from our properties. It?s quick to get to Forest hill station or Peckham Rye station in 10-15 minutes by bus. It?s a lovely part of Dulwich to live in xx

We did too on Dunstans road and Upland road. We had a total blackout for a brief moment.

I'm giving away my exercise bike. Even though it's been used regularly, it's still in very good condition. I had bought insurance for it but never had to use it. I bought it from Argos a few years ago with the promise that I'd upgrade if I used it often enough. I just kept using it but now I'm ready for my upgrade. It's by Elevation Fitness. If you know you are going to use the bike regularly then I'd spend the cash to get a better quality bike. If you are just starting out or want to test the waters without a big outlay then buy a cheaper bike or get mine for free. Pm if you want it. Thanks

I need to speak to my son's GP - any advice?
bil replied to tomskip's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Everyone. I know I'm late to contribute to this thread and I hope tomskip, that your Son was able to get his repeat prescription. If you need a repeat prescription there are a number of mobile apps you can use to request the prescription and get the meds sent directly to your home e.g. Echo (recently acquired by Lloyds Pharmacy), Co-op Health. I use have used Echo for the last 6 months and it's been brilliant. If you are interested I've written this article ways you can order your repeat prescription online or via app. I hope it's helpful https://www.yourtrustedsquad.com/post/healthcare-apps-simple-quick-and-convenient-ways-to-order-your-nhs-repeat-prescription-online -
Hi everyone I highly recommend Dave. I've been using his services for years (5 or 6 years). He's done numerous jobs from wallpapering, to window frosting, putting up heavy mirrors, painting etc etc. He always does an excellent job and does it with far better quality than other handymen I've used (all of whom I've found on the ED forum). Overall Dave's work is reliable, his price is very reasonable and he's a really great guy! I enjoy talking to him and feel comfortable around him. I've recommended him to my friends as has my husband. Take care Bil
