Mr B You are right of course but the point being there are traffic lights which covers Lordship Lane leaving Townley Rd to be covered which would only take one lollipop person.

It has angered me for ages I was coming down Lordship Lane this afternoon and there are always 2 lollipop men propped up on the fence on the corner of Townley Rd casually talking to each other. Why the hell do we need 2 there,as there is a set of lights ! I stopped at the red lights and as the little green man flashed as they do to let the pedestrians know it safe to cross, low and behold one of the lollipop men walks over and flashes his lollipop to the pedestrians to show them its safe to cross !!!!!!!!!! As if they didn't know that already grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

To Bic Basher With regards to Lordship Lane and where its situated,in the old days Dulwich as a whole was one manor over the years it was sold into two parts,The people that owned these manors were also known as Lordships hence the name of Lordship Lane as it acted as the divide between both manors so it is actually a central part of Dulwich as a whole. I am not too sure on the dates but I do have it tucked away somewhere if want me to dig it out and post it.

Is It cool or uncool,a thing of the past for refined gentleman or truly a village people prop.

I am looking to buy a property in Poland, but am finding it hard to find a non Britsh site- as the prices on these sites are almost british prices. I have been visiting Poland since the early 90's and know it is still quite cheap. For example on my travels this year I have seen habitble houses for sale as cheap as ?10000 upwards but when I find these properties on a british website they are more like ?110000 !!!! Can anyone help me please.

I know that it is planned at Honour oak to connect the East london line in 2011-ish and that East dulwich was to follow suit about a year after,but I as talking to an estate agent in Foxtons and was told the idea had been scrapped ! I hope this is not the case does anyone have any ideas of what is in place.

I think it is a good idea as there is no route form Dulwich to Honour oak,but where would the bus go after the station you would need a roundabout or someting put into place,because all the roads are residential and Stansted rd is a nightmare.

What about a good old fashioned salt beef bar or a genuine steak house !
