Parent and toddler group welcoming to dads
Londonmum replied to PeckhamNicola's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Surestart run a free music/singing session at Buchan Hall on Buchan Road (2 min from Nunhead BR station) on Tuesdays 10.30-11.30, termtime only. There are 4-5 dads every time:-). -
I have be dropping and collecting children from Hollydale for the past 13 years:-). My daughter, now 17, attended Hollydale , and really liked it, made lovely friends she is still close to. She had great teachers and left with the highest possible results:-), we never worried about the outside space. I have, as a childminder, continued to come to the school every morning and afternoon:-) The new head is lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Met the new deputy head this week, who is very lovely, too. I would not hesitate sending my child there if I had another (which I am not:-)).

Nunhead Library Petition for Baby and Toddler Session!
Londonmum replied to SEGirl's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Fiona, a baby a toddler session 2pm to 3pm is not good for many parents/carers as many children sleep at this time:-(. It would be better - if cuts have to be made - to keep the library closed on Wednesdays and stay open all day on Mondays. Penny -
Hi, Yes I can:-). I have been a childminder for 9 years(before that an IT programmer:-)). I live with my lovely 15-year old daughter(who attends Kingsdale Foundation School) in a funfilled house only 3 minutes walk from Nunhead BR station. I currently look after 3 gorgeous toddlers(aged 1, 2 and 3:-)) all day and I drop and pick children from our local primary school, Hollydale. Unfortunately one of "my" children is moving away, so I have a full-time(8am-6pm)place available from April. Every morning we attend music/singing/playgroup/library and the rest of the time we have lots of fun reading, playing, dancing, singing, jumping, playing in our garden full of toys etc. I charge ?250 per week and cook yummy, nutritional lunch and only offer healthy snacks(except when we have our Christmas and summer parties:-)). You are free to contact me for a chat or a visit. Yours sincerely Penny:-)
