Perhaps hide a selection of amusing but faintly threatening items underneath the cones? If you could by any chance procure a dead mouse/old porcelain doll that might do the trick. Leave one cone empty and then sit back and watch the fun - at least then you will get a giggle. -
Agreed - it was great spotting those today and loads of people were looking at them and chatting. Between them and the flowery dogs, ED is an arty haven at the moment!

Denmark Hill trains - are they really full in the morning?

I always get the 8.18 from Denmark Hill to Victoria and haven't ever had any problems - always get to work in South Kensington for 8.45!
