  1. I too have just passed my driving test after taking lessons from Nick. He made me feel at ease from the first lesson, built my confidence up and he knows the best places to take students. It is too easy to never get round to taking your driving test, especially living in London. I finally got around to taking lessons and I'm very glad that I did. If you haven't passed your test yet I'd suggest getting in touch with Nick at http://www.nicholasdrivingacademy.co.uk or 07956 221706.
  2. @Crystal Matt - were they arranged like this, on the pavement? If so, it does look like they are a wannabe artist!
  3. The problem has returned - in large quantities! This bag was seen at the south end of worlingham road. Looks like the stern note failed to deter our excreta enthusiast.
  4. Someone has helpfully sent me the post where this was discussed. Anyone who is interested go to: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,715809,717496
  5. Hi All, I don't often post on here, so forgive me if someone has posted this before. Did anyone else notice the street art/graffiti (depending on your point of view!) on Choumert road, where it meets Bellenden road? See attached picture. I walk past there on the way to the station, it was there for a few days then vanished. Anyone know anything about it?
  6. I give two thumbs up for Liar's Dice! You can get a nice set for quite cheaply, and it doesn't have to last too long. Plus you can play drinking versions! I'd say that this and the triple threat of Articulate, Cranium and Pictionary make for a formidable games collection.
  7. What is so terrible about Adventure Bar? So long as you go for happy hour so it isn't ridiculously expensive, it's lively and the cocktails are decent. Little too loud for a place without a dance floor perhaps, but I usually have a good time. I'm a relative ED noob, not having experienced this Inside 72 place, or the drum. What were so good about them?
  8. I agree with David, Big Oil companies are forced by governments to sell petrol to joe public as a way of governments trying to absolve the guilt of selling all the natural resources of their country to fill their coffers and get re-elected. They make bugger-all money from petrol stations, so blockading them is just going to make life even harder for the minimum wage employees, and yes the franchise owner who probably struggles mightily. If you DO want to protest, then it's far more effective going to their HQ. Although it's not as if BP is collecting oil just to store it under their stairs. They drill it because we, as a society have a ridiculous addiction to it, and we want it cheaper. Our society's habits are not going to change if a BP or a Shell somehow was put out of business.
