  1. Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at the John Lewis one, which sounds good. Although muddy feet are making me think twice about getting one. I guess for ?15 it's not exactly breaking the bank!!
  2. Hi As winter is just around the corner, (still hoping for an Indian summer though!) I'm thinking about getting a footmuff for the LO who is 21 months. We currently have a Bugaboo Bee (the old style) When he was very mini we originally had the Bugaboo Cocoon, but instead of forking out on another expensive bugaboo footmuff, can anyone recomend another option that will work just as well? Or am I just as well to use a warm blanket?!? Many thanks
  3. Hi Our little one slept in the Amby Hammock until he was about 11 months and then went straight to a cot. He loved the hammock and literally used to snuggle straight in an nod off, beleive it or not he used to cry to get into it when he was tired! In winter time I put a lambs skin in over the matress for extra comfort, although this isn't necesasary at all. He looked so snug and safe in it, the first time we put him in a cot, he looked lost in it and I know he missed the comfort and security the first few days. I know they're expensive, but I believe they're really worth the extra. We bought one on ebay, really good condition and would definatley use it if we have another one. PS... He also has a perfect little round head!! ;-)
  4. Soooo.... a glass of red & reading some of blog suggestions, inspiration has finally come!! On the dinner menu tonight.... sweet potato & butternut squash chips, falafel & haloumi. Thanks all, Sylviamaria love your blog & yes isn't St David lovely! Now what will I cook tomorrow?!??
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions....still undecided but some of the blog ideas are good.
  6. Hi I'm bored, bored, bored of cooking the same stuff & am feeling really uninspired as to what to have for dinner this evening, even pretty pictures in cook books aren't getting me in the cooking mood. Also I'm feeling like a lump at the moment, so want to cook something relatively healthy!! Any ideas would be great? Otherwise beans on toast for us this evening! Thanks
  7. All Saints in Peckahm is very family orientated, with lots of activities for children, Sunday Schools etc, very friendly too. We started going about 18mnths ago and the baba loves it :))
  8. Hiya I'd love to give you some advice as to what to do and what works in this situation but I'm afraid I'm in the same boat. But at least you know your not on your own in this. Our LO is now 15 mnths and this has been going on for about 8/10 weeks sometimes up for anytyhing between and hour and 2 1/2 hours. He is teething (only has 4 teeth) and has been quite ill with flu 7 tummy bugs since Christmas, so I know that's partly responsible and he has started walking. I am desperate!!!!!! I have to wake him during the day after his afternoon nap (1 1/2 hrs) he's exhausted too, dear love him. We are in the process of buying a house and at the moment live in a 1 bed, so he is still in our room, in his own cot, but there's no escaping the cries. Ear plugs just don't work when he's only a couple of feet away :( Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I can manage when I'm not in work the following day as I catch up on sleep during his nap ,but I find myself not being able to concentrate in work. I am so fed up using matchsticks to keep my eyes open!!! My plea for a miracle solution goes out!!!
  9. Hi All So I know it's not ED but was wondering if any of you know anything about Consort Estate just off Peckham Rye? Myself and my partner are looking to buy and have been to see a couple of properties there. I suppose our main concerns would be to do with safety within the estate ie coming home at night, or break in etc. Any feedback would be great thanks
