  1. Goodness - how lazy and cynical.

We know where to send the bill when the paving stones need replacing then.

Its not unreasonable to expect a new business to want to engage with the locals who provide their livelihood and not be seen to be ignoring the basic rules when doing business in the community. None of the other shops behave in this way - surely you cant be encouraging this? Ah well - as long as you get your stuffed crust on demand.....

  2. Cars should be on the road where they belong - pavements are for pedestrians. If all the shops had vehicles or other obstructions in front of them people might not be so happy. I have bought pizzas from PJs so am not advocating a boycott of their services. All that is being suggested is that they work with what ever the local planning rules are and engage with the local customers rather than annoying a high percentage. PJs are aware of these and other comments by local people so why aren't they answering the complaints?
  3. Its not just the trailer its the 3 or 4 motorcycles that surround it too. Southwark put in the nice paving in front of the shops and the constant use of these bikes will damage the paving slabs - maybe if PJs were asked to pay for a replacement they may think differently. I think what is most annoying is the attitude of the shop in that they seem not to care what local people think - they are a new welcome new business in that row and should be trying to engage with their local customers not alienate them. Maybe they should answer some of the points raised on here.
  4. Its not just the advertising which is an eyesore its the fact that its taking up a huge amount of pavement space for no reason. Hard to manoeuvre round it - there is no point to it being there at all. They seem to be aware they are in the wrong yet the trailer is still there. Dont understand why they dont just move it and not risk losing any further custom and causing bad feeling.
  5. You can have ours! Totally agree with the comments on the spectrum of colours now in the street and they are not visually attractive things - you think someone would have invented a new design by now that looks better but does the job. I have asked Southwark to take ours back as we just don't need it in addition to everything else. I guess its probably cheaper to provide everyone with a bin and then sort it out rather than consult individually.
