Stat Man

Not too sure of the details but it seems that a black Focus was involved in a heavy smash on Forest Hill Road (close to the Post Office) earlier this morning. It looks pretty much cleared up but it was slower than usual along there when I came through on the bus.

Tried to drop Mrs. Stat Man off to work at the hospital this morning but the stretch of Denmark Hill outside the hospital was closed. Not sure when it's reopening.

Yes, I noticed last night that they left behind a load of bin-bags and other junk outside the cemetery gates but someone seems to have cleared away at least some of it overnight. Still not fully cleaned up though. Not good enough Morrisons.

I walked along Langton Rise (stretch next to cemetery between Wood Vale and Underhill Road) with my dog at around 7am this morning and there was a double-decker bus parked along there and a big "film unit" catering trailer. Also saw someone putting up signs labelled "unit" and "base" which were pointing to the area. Anyone know what is going on down there today?

Parsley, In response to your initial post, I agree with Sue and Nick in that you have just been unlucky so far. For I long time I commuted from Essex to Surrey and the trains south of the river are much more reliable than the inept service put on by National "Express" out of Liverpool St. I still use Southern trains every day and find them pretty good most of the time. I wouldn't give up on the trains after a couple of bad runs.

Don't cull foxes! Noise waking you up at night, eventually you'll sleep through it, its their natural habitat and it is inhumane to even consider culling them!

Just to let you know I think there has just been an accident on lordship lane near the horniman/forest hill station, 185 is on divert down wood vale and traffic is queuing all the way down honor oak park road!

this situation is now becoming ridiculous, there are a number of illegally parked vans on several of the junctions of underhill road, making it impossible to see if there is traffic coming when turning out. this is extremely dangerous as the vans dont have windows so you have no way of even seeing if something is coming and they are parked within 2-3 ft of each junction! what can be done about this?

Does anyone know what's going on with the licence in bar story bar? They stopped serving alcohol at 21:45pm as having problems with the council?! Not really sure what this means, as am not sure of any licence that prevents serving alcohol from 21:45pm. Does anyone know what's going on with this place?
