Carpet Supplier and Fitter - Dulwich Carpet Company
mitchcoker replied to Stephen Tozer's topic in Reviews
Stephen fitted a new stair & landing carpet for us and it looks great. He was perfectly happy for us to source our own carpet and he measured all the nooks & crannies so we could correctly place that order. He communicated well, turned up on time, did the job (for a great price) & cleaned up afterwards. Quite honestly it's the best experience I've had of a workman on the EDF....EVER. And as mentioned above he's a really nice guy too. Many thanks Stephen. -
Good news. Thanks to eagle eyed dog walkers who took to twitter this morning the bike has been recovered. Also thanks to the park rangers at Peckham Rye. Lots and lots of great folk out there. Thank you all.xxx

My partner was mugged at knife point by three lads at around 6.30 - 7pm last night on the newly paved bit (outside the main park) near the exercise area/skateboard park. He's fine if shaken. He was cycling up the hill and each lad was hidden behind a separate tree as you go up the rye. He swerved the first two but the last lad managed to push him off his bike. One lad then held a knife to his stomach and insisted he hand over his bag/phone and phone code. This was reported to the police and they responded very quickly. We all walk and cycle through our lovely park at this time of the evening and I don't want to scare anyone but thought we should all just be extra vigilant and aware. (If anyone finds a discarded green ruck sack or some keys in the park please let me know.) Be safe. Xxx

Builder Recommendation - J Kidd London
mitchcoker replied to roadie's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I am recommending Joe too. Really nice guy, punctual & a very reasonable quote (a pretty rare combo). Thankyou Joe. -
Gina, I'm in complete sympathy with your situation. I've spent the last 2 weeks getting my 26 month old boy off the boobie. It's been a nightmare.....and no amount of talking through it helped. Sorry to say. I resorted to polar neck/scarf/coat & sticking to my guns. There have been daily tears & tantrums and refusals to eat, but we are out the otherside now. My first boy only had about 4 days of this behaviour, so it's been quite a shock and very tiring. My daily saving grace has been daddy (if he's around at bed time) putting him to bed, so my son doesn't get a chance to insist on his nightly fix. That was so helpful. And last night I put him to bed without coat & had loads of cuddling without the mention of boobie. Hooray! Sorry to suggest you may have a horrid 2 weeks ahead of you.....Good Luck. Thanks for bringing up the subject on the forum too... Mitch
