  5. Hello, I'm still finalising details with the hall and will post this up this weekend.
  6. Hello all! I'm on the look out for local crafty people, whether that is handmade, baking or food skills to sell at a local fair (Anerley Town Hall, SE20 8BD) on the 5th December. We would like to have a selection of crafty people, food and craft workshops, maybe a raffle. If you could help with any of this, please get in contact, and let me know what you sell! Also looking for volunteers to help make decorations/run a raffle/help set up the hall on the day, you don't have to be a seller to get involved and please pass this on to others who might be interested. Thanks! Niki

  8. Hello, even more of a panic, does anyone know of a good make up artist who is good at contouring/subtle make up that enhances? Wedding on the 27th June. Preferably could do a trial
  9. Hello all, I am looking fairly last minute for bridesmaid hair for the 27th June. I'm actually based in the Anerley/Crystal palace area but to be honest this late in the day anywhere between there and east dulwich/peckham is fine. My partner will be staying in East Dulwich so it might be fine there. One wants curls, one just a blow dry, the other two possibly up dos. Are there any recommendations of places/people who could do this? Thanks for your help.
  10. Hello all, I'm looking into fun, relatively cheap activities for a hen do (my own) in the daytime. This isn't for a cliched hen, no pant decorating or pink rubbish thank you and we won't be pissed (these are the assumptions of everyone else I've contacted so far!). Crafty things would be welcome and I'm open to suggestion for other ideas. In my day-job I'm a scientist and I'm really into unusual sports (kung fu, kayaking etc), lots of different music and I love arty/crafty activities. We currently have hula hooping on the cards and I'm also looking for a cheap hall to hire to house that if anyone knows of anywhere?
  11. Just a reminder, this fair is tomorrow, 1.30-5.30! Hope to see you there!
  12. From Crystal Palace to the fair (you can get to this station from Peckham Rye): http://i57.tinypic.com/2ajxik7.png http://i59.tinypic.com/2zdr61h.png

There will be many beautiful things on sale including handmade soaps, cards, candles, jewellery, clothes, cups, lampshades, cushions and other housewares, amazing cupcakes (I've eaten them and they are foodgasmic) and photography prints. Photos of a small selection of these are here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007986250177&sk=photos&collection_token=100007986250177%3A2305272732%3A69&set=a.1502351066707754.1073741866.100007986250177&type=1 It is fairly easy to get to from around East Dulwich (I'll post pictures of maps in the next post): Forest hill is on a direct line to Anerley station, which is a two minute walk from the fair! From Peckham you can go to Crystal palace station which is 14 minute walk or 9 minutes on the bus. From East Dulwich station you can go to Birkbeck Station and it s an 18 minute walk or 10 minute on a bus http://i57.tinypic.com/2vcssop.jpg

  20. Hello all, I am a member of the Anerley Craft Fair team based at St Hugh's Community Centre. We hold monthly craft fairs, to support promotion of local craft people, alongside cakes, food stalls and workshops for children. As the fair has expanded we are looking to increase its size and strengthen our links with the local community around Anerley and Penge. We currently use the community centre for the fair but would need to expand onto the adjacent green. The winter wind and rain currently is too much for summer gazebos so are looking for something nice and sturdy and weatherproof. Can anyone here recommend somewhere we can borrow or hire (cheaply as our budget is currently small) some sort of marquee? Any help appreciated, thanks!
