  1. Thanks Fuschia - did you also try them in conjunction with doing anything else? Did you try them at every feed? or just once a day? Feeding in the dark? After half a feed from breast? disguising the bottle?
  2. Hi hoping someone might offer some advice please. I have an 8 week old girl who just wont take a bottle. I need to be back running my business part time very soon so this is an absolute must that we succeed. Baby took to the bottle at week 4 several times on expressed milk and finished off bottles and now for some reason she just won't play ball. Have tried Advent, Tommy Tippee CTN and various age teats and yet still nothing doing. Starting to panic and need some help. Used to try the bottle at 10.30 but she was just to tired and too disinterested so now trying at 6-6.30 after bath and still nothing. It's always my other half who tried to feed her and I try not to be in the same room to avoid her smelling me. Hope someone can help
  3. An interesting debate for a sunday evening for all mum's and mum's to be, i hope. I am wanting to start either pregnancy Yoga or Pilates, and was wanting to hear peoples preferences and experiences to help me make a choice. I was also hoping to get some advice on good places that offer these classes, ideally on a wednesday morning/afternoon. I'll look forward to hearing your responses.
  4. Thank you all. I'm pretty sure that i'm going to go ahead and do the trial. I agree with you EDL that the extra screening will definately be reassuring given this new information, and i haven't read anything that shows that this will be in any way harmful to the baby. If i have any further questions i will be sure to contact you guys again, your responses have been really useful in helping me make my decision.
  5. careful you don't come across all GLC! NOT a good look
  6. Hello all, This is my first post, and i apologise for it being so graphic but and i am seeking some advice if anyone can help please? I am currently 23 weeks pregnant, and today went for an internal scan at kings to assess my cervix. It has been found that mine is only 13mm, where the "normal" "safe" range is about 25mm. This means that i now have a 23% chance of having a premature birth. I have, as are all women, been prescribed progesterone which has been proven to reduce this chance, however i have also been asked to take part in a trial which involves fitting an Arabin Pessary around my cervix. Has anyone else taken part in this trial, which has been running since 2008?
