  1. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare Directed by Yohann Philip 'Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona, where we lay our scene, from ancient grudge break to new mutiny, where civil blood makes civil hands unclean...' London is the setting for our contemporary and immersive adaptation of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy, as two rival takeaway businesses battle for culinary supremacy across the city. While the batter sizzles and hot-headed brawls break out, the young lovers defy their families to follow their passion … with bitter consequences. There is plenty of fun and humour on the menu too. Music, dance and immersive theatre, delivered with relish by our brilliant cast, bring out the lighter side of Shakespeare’s drama and make the audience integral to the action. So, join us and be immersed in the high-stakes, high-calorie world of the Montagues and Capulets – it’s a feast you won’t want to miss! Performance dates: Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st October at 8.00 p.m. Saturday 22nd October at 2.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. Venue: Edward Alleyn Theatre, Dulwich College, London SE21 7LD Tickets are £12 / £8 (18 years and under) plus a booking fee. This performance of Wyrd Sisters, a Discworld? Play, is an AMATEUR PRODUCTION * * * * * * * Wyrd Sisters was the 6th of Terry Pratchett?s 41 Discworld? books, and one where he quite properly decides that witches, and not wizards, should be the dominant force, driving forward this wonderful world of magic. Join us in a story of drama, love and silliness, combining Macbeth and Hamlet with a touch of Lear (and maybe Blackadder); where the wicked are extremely wicked, and good appears in surprising forms. Depressed heroes and brainless guards; noble actors and a vowel-less demon; all guided by rule-breaking witches and ? above all magic ? as we fly through 22 manic scene changes to that glorious moment when good triumphs over evil.

  19. Due to be performed in a church, T. S. Eliot's Murder in the Cathedral will bring the dark and dangerous world of medieval England to St. Bartholomew?s, Sydenham. Candlelight and live choral music will provide the atmospheric setting for Eliot?s verse drama that dramatically tells the story of the assassination of Archbishop Thomas Becket in 1170. Eliot?s play is an extraordinary and moving look at events we know all too well. His play weaves beauty with horror to produce a visceral and compelling tale. It's on from 11-14 November at 8pm and the nearest station to the church is Sydenham. Kate must therefore 'stoop' to gain his affections in a play rife with mischief, wit and plenty of humour! 16th - 18th July ?10 (?12 on the door) Tel: 07936 531356 Email: [email protected] Art Stationers, Dulwich Village, SE21, or on the door (subject to availability) Edward Alleyn Theatre
