  10. Two years ago on the 22nd Dec I was involved in a hit and run accident on East Dulwich Grove at 5pm. I suffered a lot of pain, multiple fractures in my leg, damaged shoulder and a nasty bash to my head. I've chased Police, Councillors and tried to get people to sign a petition - all to no avail. I have even offered to stand on East Dulwich Grove to collect signatures.I am still attending Kings College Hospital and having Counselling because of the accident which badly affected me physically and mentally. Every single time I go to LL I see a near accident on East Dulwich Grove. It really frightens me watching people trying to cross here. It won't be long before someone is badly hurt again. It's taken two whole years to come anywhere near a full recovery, I worry that someone could be killed here. I will continue to chase help to improve this junction and others like it. Please feel free to sign the above petition and ask your neighbours and friends to do the same. Thank you
  11. I didn't see anything about dollars or donations when I signed it a few months ago. Just ignore I guess. Thank you.
  12. Thank you so much for signing!! 20 more signatures in an hour and a half, please pass it on to friends and family, I'm sure it's possible to get another 426 signatures on here, for the safety of our friends and family. Thank you Freda Grehan.
  13. I was involved in a hit and run accident on East Dulwich Grove , Lordship Lane end. It happened on 22December 14. I suffered multiple fractures to my right leg and a ligament damage to my left shoulder and a nasty bang to my head. I was hospitalised for almost two weeks, missed Christmas with my family and it caused a lot of worry to my loved ones. There have been quite a few concerns on here regarding this junction and I have seen a few near misses since my accident. There is a petition going on to make this a safer place but unfortunately 500 signatures are needed, I've managed to get 55. If you live in the area and use this junction you'll probably know how dangerous it is to cross here. Please could I ask you to sign this petition so I can continue to ask for help to make this safer , somehow. Thank you Freda Grehan http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/safer-lordship-lane 135 signatures so far. Need a good few more, please sign if you agree that this junction is not safe and needs making safer. 400 odd have read the post and a good few have signed but we need a lot more. Please feel free to share on Facebook and amongst friends and family. Thank you - Freda
  14. I've put the link on now :) , please pass it on. Thank you. Freda
  15. James What happened to the petition you set up? Did you send it out to your many contacts? There were no signatures from the SE22 magazine write up. I tried very hard to get signatures, I managed 55 all on my own but things went very quiet. I have managed to put the link on here so I'm hoping for a good number of EDF signatures. I will do my utmost to stop anyone else from getting hurt here. 18 months after the accident I am still suffering from what happened to me and my family and I'm not giving up. If you can help in any way I'd really appreciate it.
  16. Hello With reference o my last post yesterday (I'm the one who had the accident on East Dulwich Grove 22 Dec 14) I've managed to get the link but not sure if it will work on here? I have contacted James Barber to help me. We need 500 signature on this petition, I've managed 55 all on my own. Councillor James Barber was going to send the petition out to his contacts but I don't see any other signatures on the petition apart from those of my own friends and family. I will do my best to try to make this road/junction/turning safer.i only hope we get enough signatures to give the Council or TFL a nudge so they can do something to stop anything else dreadful happening. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/safer-lordship-lane This is the link, hopefully you can access it. If not I'll see if I can get help to make it work. Thank you Freda Grehan.
  17. I was knocked down at this particular junction (East Dulwich Grove with Lordship Lane) It happened on 22 December 2014. It was a hit and run driver who was speeding and cut the corner, knocking me up in the air. I suffered multiple fractures in my leg and hospitalised for 10 days, missing Christmas with my family. I was in a cast for three months then suffered a blood clot provoked by the accident. Police were absolutely useless. Councillor Barber started up a petition to make this crossing safer but I'm surprised that nothing more was done to help. I managed to get 50 signatures on my own but I will now try to put a link on here to see if we can't raise the amount of signatures needed for the Council to do something and possibly save someone's life. I've seen a few near misses here since my accident and it scares me so much. I have suffered 18 months of pain, anxiety and many hospital appointments - I don't want what happened to me happening to anyone else! I will get on to James Barbour to see if he can help me to put some kind of link on here, before anyone gets killed.
  18. I picked up a white bunny, a very loved bunny by the look of him. I have handed it in to Customer Help Desk. The lady behind the desk said that someone had called in to see if he was found but he wasn't at the time she had called. It's such a shame, a little one must be missing his or her bunny, made me sad to think that little person might have needed him for bed time especially. If you've lost bunny or know someone who has then he's waiting for you at the a Customer Help Desk at Sainsburys, Denmark Hill. I hope this helps.
  19. I was knocked down by a hit and run driver on 22 Dec on East Dulwich Grove. I thought I'd mention just in case the owner of this poor dog is reading, please chase the police for CCTV footage as soon as possible. The police took three weeks to check footage on my accident BUT apparently footage is deleted after two weeks! Maybe if the Police are chased there might be some chance of catching this irresponsible, nasty driver. How could anyone hurr/mane or kill and just carry on with their life?
  20. I have just used the services of Bradley, he cleaned two bedrooms and a hallway carpet for me. Bradley turned up at the time he said he would, he was very courteous, did a great job and in good time at a reasonable cost. I thoroughly recommend him. His mobile number is: 07946 328565
  21. Just thought I'd let people know on here that there's an art exhibition on at the little art gallery just past the Blue Mountain cafe on Northcross Rd. it's on until Sunday and worth a look. Obviously it's down to individual tastes but I'm hoping to go back and but something that caught my eye. Reasonably priced and nice work. The artist is Rob MacGillivray, worth a peek if you're out shopping or have free time at the weekend.
  22. Hi Sunil I agree with your comments. I was actually knocked down on 22 December when crossing over at East Dulwich Grove, Lordship Lane end. I was hospitalised for 10 days, spent Christmas away from my family. My leg was broken in two places so I had a cast on until 2 nd March. I had to go back to hospital a couple of weeks after the cast was removed for an emergency scan, when I was diagnosed with a blood clot caused by the break. I now have to take blood thinning tablets for three months at least and unable to fly for same amount of months. I am walking on crutches now and not sure for how much longer. The driver was never traced as the number plates were false. This crossing is very dangerous. Councillor Barber is in contact with the council regarding this crossing and I will be contacting him regarding the outcome. There definitely needs to be traffic lights ON THIS junction to make it a safer place to cross. I was lucky, my accident could have been worse. I don't want anyone else suffering like I did. It has affected me, my husband and children. Please take extra care when crossing here, cars speed round into East Dulwich Grove to avoid lights and traffic coming from opposite direction, very unsafe. There have been a number of accidents here just recently, it certainly needs some attention.
  23. Se22cat I am so very sorry, what a very sad story. I'm sorry your wife had to suffer so much.thinking of you both. Freda
  24. THANK YOU! I am the person who was involved in this hit and run incident on 22nd Dec. I would like to say a very big thank you for all your concern and well wishes. I am in great pain but feel very lucky, things could have been much worse! I was in hospital from 22nd Dec until 31 Dec and missed Christmas with my son, daughters and two grandchildren, which upset me very much. Thank God I am home now and although I am fully dependent on the family things can only get better. I have multiple fractures in my right leg and a toe to thigh cast. I was thrown from the car on to my left shoulder and that side of my head so I have bad tissue/muscle damage to my shoulder, this should heal in a couple of weeks time. I have contacted Councillor James Barber as obviously after all the comments on here, this junction needs to be made safe to cross. I want to do all I can to make this happen soon, what happened to me could have happened to any one and it sounds like there have been a few lucky escapes already. This could have been a totally different outcome and I don't want anyone else going through this. I have been told there are up to four witnesses. The police had taken until Friday 2nd January to tell my husband that unfortunately they haven't made any progress in finding the driver or registration No.given to them by witnesses, the reg number seems to be incomplete/incorrect. I want to say thank you to the many people who were there at the scene, helping to keep me warm and safe until police/ ambulance and my husband arrived. Thank you. Freda Grehan.
  25. My son and his wife are going to a wedding in Revello and are looking to stay in Positano for a week in the Spring. Has anyone been to this area with their family, could you recommend somewhere child friendly. The baby will be 18 months when they get there, so will be def running around and exploring. Thanks Freda
